Okay so far I’ll say I like it updated after 3 weeks update 4/27/25
UpDate 4/27/25: well my band ended up breaking and I lost my little shock box. I used this so much so long I got used to it I wouldn’t wake up from full power shock max settings I moved it around both arms an even my ankles. I was either sleep through it or just take it off just about 2 months after having it I was so sad I really wanted this to be my solution. UPDATE 2/27/23: so after 3 weeks or so I’ve charged it like 1 time every 3 days so I worked with the app some more and found how to fix an alarm to still shock even if I turn off the alarm it’s smart alarm option and if you don’t move around a lot within 30 mins it will shock you I like that. This thing does get me up but I had to set it at like 60 70% power. I have also been taking it off but by the time I get it off so it don’t shock me and I get the alarm off im awake. Over all so far this works like a charm. I had to figure some stuff out and set it up how I needed it. Only thing I don’t like is, sometimes it will disconnect from my phone. It’s sometimes not easy getting it repaired. I’m not sure how I can fix that part, but l will keep working with it. That’s my biggest issue other than this thing really does wake me up. At first I sat like 15 alarms starting an hour before I needed up, cause that’s how it’s always been. If I need up at 7, I set alarms at 550 then every 5 mins after and usually still late. Not this one, now I have the right settings. I want up at 7 I set the alarm for 659 so, by the time I’m getting up trying to get this thing off it’s 7am and I’m up. At 3 weeks I’ll say it works, you just have to find the right shock for you. I suggest at least 50 or 60 if your a very heavy sleeper. I start mine at 60 with 2 zaps if that don’t work 8 mins later I get 2 zaps at 70 and I’m up.! that’s plenty for me usually, I’m up at 60% but I alway still like that just in case! I’ve used bed shaker, surround sound speakers, and bluetooth my iPhone alarm (the loud siren alarm) to the speaker setup NO, my husband shaking me yelling my name, my brother throwing stuff at my face, flipping mattresses up and shaking, nothing even though theyd say I would take to them tell them I’m up but never remember it. If your hard to get up or be woken up this will help. I give it 5 stars and if I change my opinion I’ll come back and update again. I’m super happy tho so far so good!! I like it so far just got it last night charged it and wore it to bed so I haven’t found out how to make it make noise or maybe it don’t not sure but I know it does shock you I was awoke from being shocked at about 4 mins after the alarm started going off and I know it shocked me about 3 times that I felt before waking up so I have mine on 40% now and it did wake me up im going to put it on 50% tonight it is a small shock in just one tiny area I still haven’t learned everything yet but I can tell you im a very heavy sleeper I can sleep threw 2 hours of alarms set to go off every 5 mins with ease my husband has to shake me and yell waking the kids and everyone up and then I still don’t get up for about an hour once he starts yelling I don’t hear it or don’t remember it not sure but I know it did wake me up and I was very surprised but I hit snooze 1 time and it got me and then I just hit stop and went back to sleep so I’m going to have to change that part so I can’t keep doing that.

Pass on this if you are hearing impaired and need an alarm clock
To start with, I am hard of hearing. Unfortunately I am also a heavy sleeper and because of this I cannot use standard alarm clocks. Most devices on the market for people that are hearing impaired have this tendency to break rather quickly and they are priced at less than economically ideal prices. This device was no different. It worked great for the first two months or so. I would wear it on my off hand wrist when I slept and the shock would wake me up just fine. The app was a little buggy, but I forgave that because of how well the Pavlok worked. The silver part of the device itself is just painted over copper. The paint wore off within the first couple of weeks leaving the copper exposed which then started to corrode. Once this happened, the device quit shocking at the power that It was shocking before, and now has ceased to work. I had high hopes for this product. It seemed to deliver at first. Now I see that it is a brilliant idea wrapped up in a cheaply manufactured product and extremely overpriced. This item is not built to last long at all. It worked fine for two months then began to degrade to the point of complete failure at the six month mark. Save your money and find something better.

Good product, poor app
Critical view: First, the last of user manual is frustrating. I don’t even know there is a button. Doesn’t seem double tapping is doing anything. [edit: the app has been updated and it works now] Second, I’m using iphone SE. The Pavlok 2 app works fine, but it keeps sending me a notice saying Pavlok 2 is going to get shutdown, and that notice prevents me from using the app unless I reboot my phone. However, Pavlok 3 app is horrible, timer doesn’t work, UI is confusing… I see that Pavlok 3 is supposed to add additional functions, and some of them works, but the main function don’t work as good as the old app which is going to be shutdown. Third, the battery is small and cannot be powered off. For me, I don’t use it very often. But when I stop all alarms, it still drains the battery fast and I need to recharge it before I want to use it again. Not very convenient. Fourth, there has been a time when I use it daily, and it was hot, my wrist sweats. The sweat and it’s metal plates have chemical reaction that irritates my skin after some weeks. Pros: — I personally think the sizes and rubbery bands looks great, not poor-looking, but it’s just my taste of flavor. From the look doesn’t seem like poor quality, but that’s just the look and its real quality still need time to test. Nevertheless I handle it with care as if it’s a low quality product so that I try not to break it. — It does its job, zaps, vibrates and beeps, and you can set zapping strength, vibration etc at different levels, repeat at different intervals. The hardware can do anything but it depends on their app design what you can do. — i was concerned about how fast the quality degraded when I found out zapped much weaker than the day before. Turns out that it very depends on the moisture on your skin. You will feel the zap much stronger when your skin has some moisture. (As long as it’s not dry it’s enough, don’t completely wet your skin)

Yes, there are issues...still an amazing product.
2nd edit. Just got my new one. Works great so far, no connection issues. Can't wait for my Pav 3 to get here. Hoping this works until then. Edit: Now that I'm not so mad about being awake at midnight ill add that this is an amazing product, just has some flaws that are being worked out. I just ordered my Pavlok3 and can't wait to get it. I may reorder the 2 to get me by until it arrives. It works so well at getting me out of bed!! Customer service for Pavlok is A+! I get quick responses here and on Facebook and actually feel like they care. Lovely company. I absolutely LOVED this when I got it. I had read all the reviews and knew it might not work long enough to set it up, but I was desperate for a new wake up option. I got it a little over a week ago. I'm currently sitting here waiting for the battery to die because it turned on, on vibrate mode, and WILL NOT STOP! Its 12:47am! There's no off button... I've already requested a refund from Amazon. Ugh....I had such high hopes. Giving one star because when it works correctly its amazing. I didn't hit snooze all week and doing the jumping jacks first thing is great for my energy level.

It works, but at what cost?
First off let me say that I fully believe in this device in it's method of training you to wake up instead of snoozing. BUT here's the thing. I know this thing is going to shock me and I know the exact time it's going to shock me and how many times it's going to do it. With that knowledge, my body wakes up a good ten minutes before the alarm and I just sit there waiting to be shocked and or I take it off and go back to sleep. I don't really know how I can avoid that and it's just miserable to wake up like that every morning. My snoozing isn't really affecting my life my ultimate goal was just to wake up earlier to get stuff done around the house but it seems I'll have to find another method of doing so. What I previously said isn't why I'm giving this a 3 stars. That's all personal issues and my opinion on the matter. The reason I give this 3 stars is because of a few annoyances that come with this device. 1. Application is required to use this device, to set alarms and stuff. The problem with that is that the app constantly either crashes or disconnects from the device or doesn't even see the device. I used it for 2 weeks, not everyday but every night I'd put it on I'd have to spend 15 minutes fooling with the app, rebooting my phone just to get it to connect. 2. You're wearing a watch to sleep. It's not super comfortable. It just feels weird. I have a fitbit flex and I wear it to sleep sometimes but it's more low profile which is what I was hoping this would be. 3. Price. This thing is $130. $130 to be shocked every morning because I'm lazy and won't wake up. I think I have more motivation now to wake up on the first alarm than to pay $130 to do so. If it were cheaper, more low profile, and the app actually worked I would have kept it but alas, my return has been sent.

Great Idea. . . Poor Execution
Like most other purchasers of the Shock Clock, I am an incredibly heavy sleeper. I'll put it this way, on nights that I could potentially get a few hours of sleep (2-5 hours) I will usually just pull an all-nighter because I know I will sleep through my very loud alarm clock that will often wake up my roommates in their bedrooms. I purchased the Shock Clock as a last ditch effort to avoid pulling unnecessary all-nighters. I have had the Shock clock for six months now, and I hate to say it, but I am quite disappointed in the product. For the first month I owned the device, I loved it. I was able to reliably get out of bed without getting 7+ hours of sleep. However, the reliability of the product began to plummet after the first month. At this point, my product rarely works. When I say the product doesn't work, I don't mean that I sleep through it; I mean that the watch will not zap. I have tested it many times. I will get a full night of sleep, wake up using my traditional alarm, and wait for the Shock Clock to go off. More times than not, there is no electrical impulse. When there is a shock, it is barely strong enough to feel at all, even at the highest shock setting. Once again, I have began pulling unnecessary all-nighters because of the fear of sleeping through my alarm. I really wish I could recommend this product, but I cannot. Maybe I just received a faulty unit, but it's the only one I have to review. I would gladly change my review if I was given a properly functioning product, but until then, I would not recommend buying this product. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one star is because its a great idea for a product, just poorly executed.

It is everything it is advertised to be. I couldn't be happier.
I can't recommend this enough. I have struggled with getting up in the morning for as long as I can remember and nothing else has worked. I end up getting five alarms and sometimes still sleep through them, only annoying my partner. No exaggeration- the FIRST NIGHT I tried the watch, it worked. The vibrate went off and I was wide awake, knowing that I had a short time before it would beep a few times and then it would shock me. Then the beep started and I remembered I had selected the option to require jumping jacks for the alarm to go off. So it MADE ME GET OUT OF BED and get my heart and muscles going. Being so proud of myself, my morning started off so much better than it has in ages. This watch has options to customize the wake up experience for what's best for you. You can change the intensity or loudness of the vibrate, beep, and shock. It also has a sleep tracker like a Fitbit does. The shock is no joke. I had it at 50% when I tested it and it made me Yelp and drop what I was holding. My coworker tried it at 100% and it was enough to be a strong stimulation but not leave a lasting hurt. I really recommend this as a great way to get up without disturbing your partner or anyone within alarm ear shot.

great idea, but device is said to defective and No support to help
2019-10-10: Update now the shocking intensity is null. I was totally ripped off. If I could give zero stars I would. The very thing they claim and their main feature (the shock) dies in time Two main issues: first, the electric intensity to wake up will DRASTICALLY drop fairly quickly. Attempts to reach Pavlok will get responses... But promises will be holllow... Empty even... I've done the resets and tested the device but the issue persisted. Attempts to get help were initially quick and provided some software suggestions.. But when those didn't work I was told they would look for firmware updates to fix the issue. I've never noticed an update that addressed the intensity issue.. Second, the mesh band is defective which is an issue pavlok is keenly aware of ... I was promised a silicon version to hold me over... Again lots of talk with little action... re silicon band was 'ordered' but I won't receive for at least a month... So in the meantime I can't wear nor use this device I paid hundreds of dollars. Pavlok has made many promises and delivered on none. Their staff is friendly but this isn't acceptable. The device is not cheap and if defective should be replaced within a reasonable amount of time not months. I shouldn't have to follow up on a schedule to make sure I'm delivered promised replacements. The concept is great but the device isn't reliable and support isn't able to execute within a reasonable timeframe. I wouldn't recommend the product. People at pavlok seem nice but there is a massive disconnect or communication failures. You can't admit you are aware of failures and not deliver to fix previous issues for something that costs this much money. This isn't a 20 or 50 dollar device. This was originally 139... For that price it needs to work as described. And if it doesn't it should be replaced
