They are designed to conceal the expansion space between where the floor meets a vertical wall or other object that cannot be framed by wall base, quarter round, etc. One use would be around a fireplace hearth. Another use is when the hardwood floor meets with carpet and some types of tile. Reducers, End Caps, T-Molds, and More

Wall base moldings are used to trim the bottom of a wall to provide a nice transition from your hardwood floor to the wall. Base shoe moldings are typically used at the transition between the wall base and the hardwood flooring to create a smooth finished look. Cove moldings and quarter round moldings are typically used at the same transition but can also be used as a substitute for a wall base to create a contemporary look.

End cap transitions were designed to conceal the expansion space between where the floor meets a wall or another object that cannot be framed by a wall base, a quarter round, or another piece of molding--for instance, around a fireplace hearth. Reducer transitions are typically used at the transition between flooring of different heights, such as the hardwood floor and either a vinyl or low pile carpet floor.

Threshold transitions are typically used at doorways but can also be used when making a transition between flooring of different heights. T-molds are typically used to join hardwoods to other hardwoods of equal height or to the same hardwoods to allow an intermittent expansion gap in an extremely large room.

Finally, the stair nose and stair tread is a single piece that can be cut and then glued, screwed, or nailed to the frame of a staircase.

Made of Natural, Durable Bamboo
