Gamers Digital Mini Bluetooth Keyboard Chatpad for Playstation 4 - Black PS4

Pros: works as advertised, set up was easy, fits well with controller. Cons: buttons are kind of stiff and provide little feedback, there is a learning curve to get used to button placement. Side note: i use this to play an mmo (ffxi) for pc. So I'm glad to say they keyboard sync'd with my pc which was my biggest concern. My intention was to use this as a keyboard replacement, but i am finding that its better served as keyboard substitution since your typing speed is going to be reduced compared to a full keyboard when you need to type form instructions. But if you will only be doing occasional typing, this will work fine

Work and feels great, there are many keypads for ps4 out in the market that do many different things, so have even have lights behind the key whice look great but I'm sure they reduce batter life and eventually the led could die. THIS keypad dose all it needs to without all the glam and flashy lights, simple is better when you want the most out of any electronic product, conserve power. the buttons are clear and feel like rubber it dosent weight a lot. Great for gamers that just want to play and type and don't care about bells and whistles.

Standard for all my reviews: When reviewing products, I always remain objective and honest about the product or service. I always review with information that I feel others would like to know about the product as I always assume what I'm writing will influence for or against the purchase. I always try to go above and beyond surface characteristics and input into quality, value and application. Most importantly, I will always end the review with an answer as to whether I'd purchase the product again which I believe is the most critical question pertaining to the item. To manufacturers: Want me to review your items, just let me know! This device is pretty much what I expected, is ergonomically comfortable and gets the job done. I didn't realize that when you plugged in keyboard to your controller that it then diverts the sounds through the controller with the expectation that you'd use a connected headset and I haven't had the time to check to see if this can be disabled. I'd like to use the keyboard attached to the controller and still have the sound on the TV. But, that isn't their problem and my main desire was to have a small keyboard for faster chatting if/when necessary. Setup up was a breeze and it was ready to go right out of the box though I did charge it after setup. For the most part now, I leave the device off until I need to chat (which is not often) and then turn it on, finish my business and then click it back off. Value is there for the price and I really like the way it functions/looks. No complaints really and if I can figure out how to leave it attached without diverting the sound, I may even raise the review up to a "5".

This is a decently priced bluetooth keyboard attachment for Sony's DualShock 4 controller, and I sprung for it after reading some warm reviews at various sites. Sadly I was disappointed. Perhaps my major gripes are an issue of niche use case, or general cost effectiveness, but I still find they make the device more or less useless for my purposes. My main intent for this keyboard was to use it in control of my home media center. My current setup has a PS4 controller synced to a small linux box beneath the TV, with the triangle button mapped to a universal search feature, and I had hopes of using the keyboard for search input. Mainly because the system allows structured queries such as "Director: Martin Scorsese & Actor: Leonardo Dicapprio" or "Genre: Jazz & Recording-Date: Before 1960". So I wanted a small cheap keyboard to quickly type out strings of search qualifiers while searching for content to watch/listen to/play on the livingroom TV and speakers. Sadly, this keyboard is simply not up to the task. It has the most rubbery, spongy travel, soft keys I have ever encountered on a keyboard, handset or otherwise. Simple (and cheap!) chiclet style keys with a click for actuation would have been perfect! As it is I can hardly manage to type my name without being hindered by typos, let alone quickly input search strings. On top of this, the thing feels so unpleasant to use that I'm almost certain I never will. Unless I find a good replacement I will likely be entering most searches from my phone or tablet - would be much simpler with company to simply hand them a PS4 controller with keyboard attachment.

This is a Ok offering as far as keyboards for the PS4, I would ahve prefered that the keys were more solid. the Device comes with rather soft buttons. I was expecting buttons more like the PS4s a harder plastic.

Got it as a gift for somebody. It is lightweight so it doesn't add a lot of weight to your controller. It can easily be mounted through the headphone jack of the controller. That doesn't mean you won't have a place for your headset because this keyboard has a port for your headset. Make sure you know how to connect a bluetooth keyboard to your ps4. Once connected, it worked perfectly. The keyboard, when mounted, is also of perfect elevation for typing. It is not flat or hard to reach. Would definitely recommend this product. Got more than the value of what paid for!

Its a good chat pad. Got it to use for ffxiv. The buttons feel nice, it types easily, sure it falls asleep after not using it a bit and takes a touch to wake it up, not a big deal though. Ive seen a lot of people say it sends the sound through the keyboard once connected, thats an easy fix. Hold the ps button -> sounds/devices -> output to headphones -> chat audio only. That way the sound can go through whatever you normally have it through.

Annoying that the keyboard auto shuts off and takes a few seconds to wake and reconnect.
