It cleans your teeth between your gums and your teeth like a supercharged flosser.
I bought this to improve my dental care. I have an electronic toothbrush but also needed a water flosser. My husband bought this one and recommended it to me. It works great. Plus it has other attachments like a small brush to remove plaque and others to get water pressure in between your teeth to get out stuck food that may be at the bottom of your teeth or stuck a bit under your gums. It’s fast and reliable and makes your gums feel good. I’ve had it now for about 6 months so it’s durable. I highly recommend it.

Great Water Flosser for the bathroom
Previously, I had the Waterpik sidekick for travel, and I was very satisfied by the quality and the effect it had on my teeth, so I decided to purchase The Waterpik ION Professional cordless water flosser as a more permanent addition to my bathroom. It has truly impressed me with its exceptional performance and notable benefits for gum health. I used to go get my teeth cleaned every 6 months, and now I can go every year and the dentist compliments me each time.I use it after each meal, 3 times a day when I can, and my teeth and gums feel remarkably clean and refreshed after each use. I use pressure setting 9 out of 10. I have to recharge it every 10 days. Multiple different nozzles are included so you can try them out, but I only use the standard nozzle. The size is just perfect: not too big so it fits into tight bathroom areas, and not too small either: the water container is enough for one person thoroughly using it. The cordless feature adds convenience and saves time each morning. I like the magnetic handle cradle. On the Waterpik Sidekick that didn;t have this feature, I had to store the handle inside the water container, and it was really not as conveniant.I don't live in the USA, so I'm happy you can recharge it on 220 V. You need your own charger though, it is not included in the box. I use a phone charger that I can plug the included USB power cord into. The plug on the unit itself is not standard so you had better not misplace the power cord!I highly recommend the Waterpik ION Professional for anyone looking to enhance their oral hygiene routine.

Excellent flosser but with a couple od design flaws
13 months of use and there is a lot to like about this flosser. Small footprint, excellent water pressure settings, rechargable battery so no worries about electrical wires around the sink, perfectly sized (for us) reservoir satisfies one cleaning and is easy to detach, fill and clean. The teeth and gums definitely feel cleaned after use and our dental hygienist confirms the positive results..However the design flaws center around the flosser handle on/off sliding button and water cord. At first I was enthralled with the cord design as it was perfectly coiled to go back into shape and (pull) the handle back to nestle in the upright holder. However, after almost a year of use the cord has lost its original shape and is kinked in a way to keep from returning to its desired shape and position. The result is the flosser handle now is laying on the counter next to the unit, no longer hygienic. I have played with it enough to realize it has lost its ability to recoil as designed and needs to be replaced (not good after just 1 year of use. For clarification, I am 5'9 and my wife is 5'4. So when in use, as we bend over the sink the cord isn't being overly stretched considering the unit sits on a standard height vanity. I would think users who are over 6' tall may encounter issues with over-stretching.The other issue is the sliding on/off switch on the handle becomes stuck and is very difficult to move, at time requiring 2 hands to force it on and/or off. Customer service recommends soaking the handle monthly in hot water for at least 30 minutes to loosen any gunk, particularly if using mouthwash in the reservoir. I have cleaned it but it is definitley still not easy to use.The warranty is for 3 years thankfully. I found curstomer service to be fast and helpful even though the initial CSR was a little unsympathetic at first and dutifully went through a list of maintenance fixes, but after a quick back and forth regarding the cord issue a new cord and handle was ordered as replacements. I am hoping we don't have to order a new handle/cord assembly each year.Other than the 2 issues the flosser would definitely get a 5 star rating from us, but unfortunately in our opinion we have taken excellant care of the unit and the problems are more of a design, rather than use issue.

Love it, perhaps I got a bad unit? Leaked after 1-2 months + on/off button, charge problems.
UPDATE July 19, 2022: After reading Waterpik's excellent support pages, I'm increasing my rating. I'd never cleaned it. I worked the valve in the tank open/closed (the valve is not one of the removable valves), I ran water + vinegar through the parts, flushed them all out with water, and charged it up fully again. It seems to be running like new; did not leak and gave full pressure. If I have to clean it every six months, that's OK with me. ORIGINAL review: I've been using this product for about 7 months. Functionality: GREAT! After 6 months, my dentist, who always bugs me about not flossing, needing deep cleaning, needing 3 or more visits/year, said my teeth and gums were better than they've ever seen them. They found no problems, and told me to just keep up the great work! I'm over 60 and sleep with my mouth open, so gum "pockets", gum disease, etc. is a real threat for me. It is also easy to use, and the charge usually lasted me at least 2 weeks with 1 use per day on highest setting (I had to get used to that setting, but after a few days, that was the setting I always used). The problem is with reliability. I can't have it leaking a big puddle of water onto my counter almost every time I fill it. I can't have the on/off button get stuck such that it on longer turns of or on, and I have to let it dry out and/or recharge it for hours before the button starts working properly for a few more days. BTW, I did not drop or abuse the unit in any way.I'll probably try a competing product to see if the functionality will be similar, but with more reliability. The one thing I'm sure of is I will continue to use some type of water flosser.
