I have been in search of the perfect dustpan.Let me tell you, the search is OVER! This dustpan is the BEST I HAVE EVER USED in 20 years. I have a sandbox in my backyard. cats. dogs. It picks up everything.NO LINE of dirt after you sweep it up!!the pan is pretty deep and can hold a LOT of stuff. The handle is TALL! (I am 5'9). My pan actually came without the handle. I contacted the company and they sent it priority. I got it NEXT DAY!! Great service.It is easy to take up and down the steps in the house, not heavy.I imagine this will be great in any setting. Hair salon, classroom, art studio...everywhere.

I got tired of the cheap plastic ones that cracked and spent the money on this and couldn't be happier. Gets everything up in the first sweep and conforms to any surface even outside. Need another one for my husband....next birthday???

Note to manufacturers and sellers of all products:I wish you would stop affixing stickers that are almost impossible to remove. And I wish you would affix them to the UNDERSIDES where the sticker will not show nor leave residual stickiness in an area that I actually will be using.I have this item next to me. It looks exactly like the picture. The handle is a thin lightweight aluminum painted in glossy dark red with a black plastic tip for hanging. The pan is solid rubber in black. The handle does not actually screw into the pan. The handle does have notches for screwing into the pan, but the pan itself just has a smooth opening. But you screw the handle into it anyway, verses just pushing it in. It is tight for now. It comes apart easily when you unscrew it.Overall the dustpan is lightweight, a good size and shape for small to medium jobs, and convenient for the aging or with disabilities. And if you have a place to store it, it sits upright, always ready to be used. It appears to be quality rubber. But treat it with care. Don’t store in a really hot area or in direct sunlight or use really hot/boiling water to clean it. Not sure about storing it outside in freezing weather. I keep mine inside. Also I would advise taking good care of the rubber lip over where you sweep the dirt. Once it is warped it will not be any better than the cheaper plastic and metal dustpans. For now, it sits upright by itself, flat to the floor, and collects the dirt. If you take care of it, it looks like it will last quite a while. Time will tell, since I just now received this.We have a very small kitchen with nooks and crannies that my larger broom cannot reach. So I purchased a smaller red-handled broom to fit the width of this 10” wide dust pan. No, there is no way to hang a broom on the dustpan.Measurements.Depth: From handle across to front of dust pan 10-1/4”. The inside where it holds the dirt 8-1/2”.Width: On outside 10-1/2”. The inside where it holds the dirt is 10” in front at its widest, 9” at the back at its narrowest.Height: Highest is 3” at the back next to the handle. Then halfway toward front of pan it is 2-1/2”, and slowly diminishes to ¼” when it reaches the front lip. The lip over which you brush the dirt is ¾” high, and slopes down to fit flat onto the floor.There is a stiff rubber cylinder running down the inside middle of the pan to help retain its shape and to help it sit flat on the floor. You can see it in the picture.Perhaps a bit pricey. But if it holds up, I will be happy.

Together with the silicone broom this is a winning combination. No crumbs left behind. It catches every last bit of dirt without that annoying line of dirt that you end up having to clean by hand

Nice light weight dustplan for cleaning the year, but started to warp after a year.

BIG WASTE OF MONEY!! Not what I expected! The bottom part (pan) is a heavy rubber that was heavier than expected. It also would unscrew from the stick! I had to screw it back (w resistance) in the middle of cleaning! It was very inconvenient so I threw this out & went to my asian market and bought a regular plastic upright dustpan/broom set and the stick part has a hook to attach the broom for 1/3 the price of this dustpan!

It's OK, but nothing special, especially for the high price. I already had a very similar dustpan that has a plastic (instead of rubber) base that I like very much and keep upstairs in my home. I was looking for the same or similar product to keep downstairs. This one works but is considerably heavier, which makes it a bit harder to handle. I much prefer this design to those that fold up - this type is much easier to empty into the trash can, but the weight of this model means you need a stronger wrist to use it.If I can find another plastic model I am going to buy that.

Purchased this rubberized open dustpan for the purpose of keeping my yard clean. This dustpan has a good weight, and it will not tire your arm. It will sweep up fine particles of dirt and other debris very nicely. It is pricey and it does its intended job, the only caution I have to add is that to "avoid over tightening the handle" because it sits inside the grooved dustpan. It could easily become stretched or warped. I had to tighten the handle a few times. I would avoid leaving the woodened handle exposed to the elements, store indoors.
