Pure Garden One Car Garage Door Screen – Heavy-Duty Weighted Mesh Curtain with Magnetic Closure for Mosquito, Insect, and Sun Protection

We hang out in our garage and in the summer the bugs are insane. This hangs like it was made for our one car garage, very happy. Truly does keep out flies and mosquitos and those horrible june bugs. Easy to put up and add velcro to it if needed, love it!

See the picture for an example of how we mounted the screen to our garage door. We mounted it on the flashing around the door because it allowed the screen to fit almost perfectly (its just a little too long for my door, but I am very happy with it. There are 5 strong velcro strips that you screw into the top to hold the screen up. It then comes with 10 velcro pads that can be attached to the sides to hold them in place ... oddly they send both pieces of the velcro (hook side and the fuzzy side) when the side of screen door acts as the "fuzzy" side. So originally we were just going to discard the fuzzy side ... however ... we wanted a more secure setup for keeping the center portion closed. The screen we received had a metal plate and a magnet near the center for keeping everything closed, but they didnt line up and even if they did the magnet wasnt very strong. So we purchased some small magnets (LOVIMAG Refrigerator Magnets, 10 x 2 mm, 100 piece) and then attached them using the fuzzy side of the velcro. The fuzzy velcro just acts as a sticker in this case to keep the magnets attached but it works really well ... might need a better solution in the future (maybe sewing something on to hold the magnets?) but for now its working really well and we're very happy.

It would be difficult to get a better result for the money. My goal was to keep the garage doors open while working inside but keeping the bugs out. This system does the trick. Easy to install and simple to use. What could make this a 5 star? Two or 3 more magnets up and down the split entry. Even 2 would be better than just 1. Velcro strips around the sides, as well as the top, would be better than just the top. A single sheet of paper explaining the product and a visual, plus a web address, would have been smarter than providing zero info anywhere within the package. For darn sake, toot your company horn or something for creating a decent product. Bottom line though, overall a solid product which I'll take a step further and build a frame around it to give it a better appearance.

Not too difficult to install. Dimensions are within my application. Disappointed with the magnetic clasps. One came without it. Another was coming apart - brand new “out of the box”. Used an included piece of Velcro to hold the panels closed. Instructions are simple and easy to follow. It does work as advertised. Keeps the bugs out but cool breeze will flow through.

Well, the construction of the screen itself is heavy and dependable to keep bugs and chipmunks out. I watched as a chipmunk tried its darnest to get through. It was a no go. Installation was easy. I installed at 3am with my phone light. Now, the ability to get a good seal closing the screen is upsetting. It has only one magnet in the middle. I must have missed that during my order. It should have 4 more magnets attatched to it. That is why I gave it a 3. Quality is good. The weights on the bottom to hold in place are good. We just need more magnets to close it.

So I was apprehensive before ordering this screen simply because of the price compared to other screens which is much lower. I am fairly sure the material from this screen is or will be the same as other more expensive price. Installation was self explanatory but the instructions that came with it is in a very small print page which can be better to make fonts bigger. Nevertheless it is a straight forward design by screwing the velcro tabs on top where the screen will be attached to once it installed. I used my own 1" screws already available. There are some type of weight material at the bottom to keep it from lifting with a breeze or light wind. It comes with 8-10 extra velcro pieces to attach to the sides of the screen to keep it stable once it mounted on top. Since the size (85" x 114") is much wider or universal then my garage width, I had to modify it by sewing the extra width over to fit. Easy for me since I am handy......Overall, highly recommend it for the price, material, ease of installation. THX

The very first thing I noticed was the smell. This chemical, almost burnt plastic smell. I aired it out for hours and it still stinks, the entire room stinks. It’s giving me a migraine-STINKS! I don’t know if you can call it a magnetic closure when there is only a single magnet in the middle with nothing to connect it to. The stitching is awful and the screen is coming apart from the Velcro in places.ETA-days later and the screen still smells toxic, I also still have a migraine. We did realize that it does have 2 magnets at the closure but not only are they sewn misaligned but the 2nd magnet is so small and weak that even if it was lined up, it still wouldn’t work. The hook&loops provided for the sides have come unglued from the wall and I’ve found another hole where it wasn’t sewn properly.

This product is difficult to install without an unsightly thick black strip (along with several screw holes) on your garage. The product is not heavily weighted, so in fact, I do sweep leaves out of my garage every day. The "magnetic" closure (I'd wager to say, wouldn't hold a piece of paper on the refrigerator) consists of a small magnet at the bottom and one in the center. Because those magnets are small and not powerful, there is a big gap from top to center, center to bottom. I had to purchase a roll of magnetic tape for it to stay closed -keep bugs out. Because of the slick material on the trim, the adhesive would not hold, so I then had to super glue the tape to the screen. You cannot tell the magnets are on there, so it doesn't look bad, however, I feel like there was way more involved then there should have been.
