How many samples/sec on recording mode?

When recording the sampling rate is 50ms sampling. The meter stores the min, max and average for the period of recording the data which is user configurable.

Does this unit have the latest firmware v 1.41? Note: per the Fluke website v1.16 cannot be upgraded to 1.41.

My purchase date was 2016 w/ SN 36xxxxxx S/W V 1.16 / V0.88 Fluke 287 multi-meters beginning with serial number 42700001 and Fluke 289 multi-meters beginning with serial number 42830001 ship with firmware version 1.41. Older versions of the Fluke 287 or 289 with lower serial numbers cannot be upgraded to version 1.41 I would check with the Vendor to confirm serial number before purchase. Sequence is Serial Number is the second item down, firmware is the third item down. So, confirm serial number and firmware.

My friend just bought a fluke 286 for amazon. why is it not showing a screen is that black and white as being advertised here? thanks

Fluke Does not have a 286. They Have a 287/289 model. The screen looks the way it does in the picture because it simulates what the screen looks like with the backlight on.

Will it test for amp drain for me to test an electrical problem on a 12 volt Vehicle battery? If so, what is the max Amp range

The Fluke 287 can measure up to 10 amps continuously, and up to 20 amps for 30 seconds or less.
