Bought this for my 17 year old dog that is a German shepherd\lab mix. He has very course hair and very dry, flaky skin. Since he was a puppy he has been a stinky dog. Regular wet baths with even special dog shampoos did not get the stink off or stop the skin condition. Because he is old, he can't really get a wet bath very easily anymore and even if you did he just smells like wet dog afterwards. We tried this dry powder shampoo and it is great. It comes in a smaller container than I expected but a little seems to go a long way. After just one use, you could tell it was better than a wet bath. No stink afterwards and it kept the stink away for a lot longer. We waited three weeks and used it again. His skin was less flaky, his hair was much softer. You could tell he liked it because he laid down and was still while we brushed it in. We followed the directions on the package. Rub it in with your hands first and then brush it in and through his coat. I used a silicon brush that is softer than the typical metal brushes you get for dogs. I just strapped the brush around my hand and brushed it in. It can be a little messy so I recommend you do it on a tile floor that can be swept or vacuumed easily or outside. I did make sure to keep any of the powder away from his eyes or mouth. Not sure if that is an issue but better safe than sorry with an old dog. Wish I would have found out about this when he was still a puppy!!

Adopted a new dog and she had some oils in her skin that had a bad smell. Maybe it was her diet on the street. It was hard to find a natural powder and this one works really well. When I first put it on, I can smell a light smell of peppermint but quickly the smell goes away along with the smell of the oils. It's a great product.

I even used it in my hair when I ran out of dry shampoo

I have a Golden Retriever who HATES baths. But she has an overactive bacteria issued that she was born with and will always have, and smells like stale corn chips less than a week after her bath.... actually that's being nice about it, more like funky stinky stale corn chips. I've tried a few dry shampoos but I've been looking for a good powder kind and this is fantastic and I can use it with my cats also. I highly recommend it. Now she doesn't have to bathe this often and it really traumatizes her to take one so this makes me very happy. Not to mention the pain it causes in my back to give her one. I would definitely be buying more of this here soon while they still got it. Oh yeah and eat a ride with no leakage and perfectly wrap safely packaged no problems what will ever smooth transaction. I highly recommend it

My elderly diabetic cat much prefers this powder to the "dry" cat shampoos, which aren't. I will sometimes use a wet wipe if she has a lot of urine or some poo stuck in her fur. I sprinkle the powder on her bristle brush to get it on her. While it does not overpower with scent, she can smell it and prefers as little as possible. I find the scent refreshing, and helps extend times when a "potty bath" is needed. She has very sensitive skin, but the powder does not irritate it.

After opening the container my dog took one sniff and backed away-I could not use the product on her. She is scent oriented and something bothered her so I cannot truthfully rate this shampoo as being good or bad.
