BIG FAN, BEST FAN! I wish I could replace all my existing fans for some of these!!!
This thing pushed AIR MAN! Holy smokes! If you need a cheap and ineffective fan, like the one we replaces with this one, then don't get this one. If you need a fan that works well, what cools you off on a warm summer night, get this one. My only hiccup was the fact that the battery that it needs is REALLY weird. I had never seen one before, and did not know if it was gonna even be available in stores. I found one at Albertsons (a USA national chain of grocery and household goods store-kind-of-a-place)... Anyhoo... This was one of the easiest things I've been able to with the help of me and my son to assist. We used two 6' ladders to do the whole thing. First we turned off the circuit breaker outside. DO NOT TRY TO SKIP THIS STEP!!! Then we unscrewed the old fan in place and replaced the mounting bracket, (which you NEED to replace due to a little piece that helps the whole thing not come off and kill someone...) and then wire up the wires according to the manual... it was super easy. My ONLY frustration was that the only way to control the fan was to use the remote and the battery that it came with, was DEAD. For a few hours we thought we had gotten a broken fan... but it was just a battery issue. Once we got it replaces--- it was all good. We've had the fan for just over a month, and absolutely LOVE it. If you are looking for a quiet and quite beautiful fan, this is the one! Oh... and we discovered if you hold the light button on the remote, it will cause the light to dim or grow brighter... so that's cool!

Quiet with smooth air distribution
Just put it up, so the initial impression is that this is a nice fan. First time hooking it up, it worked as advertised. The instructions are pretty clear and I had no problem understanding them. The light is bright and the remote works good. There is little to no delay from the pressing of a button to itโs response. Itโs a good looking fan, too. This is a heavy fan and you should really have a hard point to hang this from. The cable that is attached is good for a safety measure in case the hanging point fails. All in all, itโs a nice fan.

Bold Design with Powerful Performance
Bold Design with Powerful Performance This ceiling fan is a statement piece that doesnโt just look goodโit delivers serious airflow. The **eight-blade design** moves air efficiently, making it ideal for larger spaces. The **color-changing LED light** adds a modern touch, and the **remote control** makes adjustments effortless. Installation requires patience due to its size, but once set up, itโs a stylish and functional upgrade for any room.

Very nice looking fan
The Honeywell Xerxes 62 inch ceiling fan is a solid 4 stars. Great looking fan that has the size NOT to get lost in big room with vaulted ceilings. The 8 blades DOES REDUCE AIR FLOW in comparison to a 4 blade fan, the closer ceiling fan blades get to each other, the less air they can grab. Air flow is still adequate, though a bit anemic on high speed... but it is relatively quiet on high too, so the choice is yours. Installation was not difficult, nor did it require any special skills. I did have to modify the canopy to accomodate a steeper vaulted ceiling, and the install was still uneventful. HINT: Read the directions. The fan wobbles on high speed, and though a balance kit is supplied, the cheap P.O.S. clip is not worth trying. It's clamping force WILL gouge the blade's finish, and snap in half before you can use it. (I used painters tape to stick it on the top side of the blade.) Balancing a fan is tedious. No one does it. Hence the crappy balancing kit. The LED light kit DOES dim (read the directions) though the long button press to do so is slow to react, and to dim the light. It works. All said I still think it's a keeper, on looks alone... It does everything else, just not great.

Extremely happy. Slightly noisy though. Cannot be flush mount.
After installing a 54in fan in my great room, and being very unhappy with how it looked - I went searching for something more....significant. This fan is fantastic for a larger family room. It fills the space, and looks classy. It kind of bridges a gap of "modern farmhouse". My only real complaint (after installation), is that the fan has a slightly above average hum from the motor. Maybe its due to the size. Install - it was actually pretty easy as fans go. My only complaint was that the remote receiver isn't integrated into the fan itself. You have to kind of shove it in above the mounting bracket...it just feels dumb. Also - the listing shows "close mount/flush mount" as an option - but its says explicitly in the instructions that this fan CANNOT be flush mount. Looking at the parts and pieces (compared to other flush mount fans I have), I agree with the instructions. This fan cannot be flush mounted.

Even the "replacement" is having issues!
Here's the short and sweet: Undersized motor and poor quality control. Looks great, performs terrible. Even the replacement fan is just as disappointing. Full review below! Well, it looks great but, barely works! The fan struggles to get up to speed, especially if you select the highest setting. And even when "up to speed" it barely moves air in comparison to the basic 5 blade fan it replaced. My old, smaller 5 blade fan (50") moved more than twice the air. The motor makes a WAH WAH WAH kind of vibration/hum noise at ALL times; most pronounced when starting up. I was an electrician for many years and I know that sound... sounds like a 20 year old fan motor that's on its way out! I'll attribute it's poor performance to it's obviously bad motor; might even be just a bad capacitor but, not taking it apart to find out. Annoyed that I'm having to take it all back apart, box it up and send it back for a replacement... Really hoping the replacement doesn't have the same issues. It did, however, come with a much nicer remote than what was pictured. Hopefully, the replacement comes with the same remote. Will post an updated review once I receive the replacement... Received replacement fan on 7-14-21: Installed it today 7-19: Unfortunately, I traded one evil for another. This fans performance is slightly better than the last (and I want to emphasize slightly) but, at the cost of now a consistent, low hum. It is better than the intermittent hum of the previous fan though... barely. At this point, it's very clear what's going on here. This fan comes in, I believe, 4 different sizes. Motors are all the same it seems. And instead of using a motor on the upper end of the spectrum, Honeywell did the opposite. I'm sure this fan cranks out the CFM's in the 56" size. But when you swap out the smaller blades for the larger ones, you just can't expect to maintain the same performance. You have to have a more robust electric motor! Oh great, as I'm typing this, the "new" fan is making some very peculiar variations in its audible pitch... *SIGH* Do I really have to send this one back too? Utterly terrible fan. I'm done with this thing.

Nice Fan!
Weโve had the fan up and running for a few weeks, really nice fan. We picked this fan because the wood grain side looked similar to our tile floor, they look great together. Fan is quiet and moves lots of air. Remote easily mounted to the wall next to the switch. Remote controls all functions. 2 things I wish were different with the remote. 1) light function had a dimmer or lower light setting. 2) color of the remote and attach plate were the same white as standard white switch covers. Again, really nice fan!

Nice Looking Fan - Incorrectly Documented Manual (Electrical Connection Section)
I really like the way this fan looks, and bought one for my living room and master bedroom. Generally, ceiling fans are pretty straightforward to install. This one is large and has some nice detail to it, but will take a total of 48 screws (included) to install the fan blades alone. Itโs not as bad as it sounds. CAUTION: This fan comes with a remote and receiver, which is installed into the ceiling fan mount. There will be a total of 6 wires to connect, with two of those being to your home electric. The problem is that the manual that comes with the fan is incorrectly documented for connection to the house electric! Not only is the text wrong, but the image showing the connection to from the receiver to the home wiring is incorrect. The representation shows a black and white wire that connects to that. In reality, the black wire from the receiver is supposed to connect to the fan motor. My receiver had a RED and WHITE wire for the house electric... Not black and white. I downloaded the latest manual and it is correctly documented in there and has the right diagram and color coding. Iโll attach the image from both manuals. The fan and light both work well. The motor is whisper-quiet. I am happy with the purchase except for the incorrect manual that came with it, which is why my rating is only 3 stars.
