Grease is important for full suspension bikes. DH/MTB take a ton of abuse. If your into rebuilding and repairing your own bike having good grease makes the different between a legit rebuild vs mediocre. Alot of people swear by slick honey and I believe slick honey is a great product. IMO i wouldn't use slick honey for bearings/crank or fork cartridge rebuilds IMO it doesn't last as long as military grease. MG can be used for everything slick honey is used for but it last much longer. It works at much higher temp, water/oil resistant, high load, non-melting grease that does not react with fork fluids. *MG in a bind can be used to replace foam o rings. Just use gobs of it where you would place foam O ring. O ring inserts usually located under dust wipers.

I was struggling to find a cost effective grease for rebuilding cycling components as the manufacturers products were in small volumes and expensive. This I found to be the best product - recommended by manufacturer (Rockshox) but also a universal product I can use in a lot of applications including my motorbikes and cars !
