First bath of Akita knocked out most of her new shedding. You have to stay on top of an Akita shedding. Her shedding was hard to manage with all the other top rated brands. The first bath with this left me a new dog. Back to “super” soft and able to pet her without hair falling all over. Since her second bath, it has been a month of NO shedding (not easy to do with an Akita) and the well known soft coat of an Akita. If this product works this great on an Akita, it is like finding a needle in a haystack. Any Akita owner understands my review. I just restocked. This is the best she has been after a bath and the longest she has gone with us being able to pet her. Once you pet a well groomed Akita, you know what I am talking about. They are high maintenance in grooming because of shedding. They shed two coats very slow. You have to use dual coat products to get the result of a true Akita coat. They are like soft plush stuffed toys. My Akita is highly socialized and ends up with people always wanting to pet her. Kids surrounding her petting her. I educate people about choosing an Akita. Pros and cons. I strongly urge to own your own place before owning one and plan on having a regularly schedule of proper grooming because of the shedding. I also educate about the breed. The pic is not recent but shows how I tried to keep her. Im 64 and it’s harder to do myself because she is so large. She is great for the bath tho. Receiving this result makes the work worth it. If I choose to hire a groomer and will likely supply this product. For now, I am enjoying using it and doing it myself. The results make it worth it. Buy this! You will love it. I have tried many products. This one is even better than another product I swore by but isn’t easy to find because the company doesn’t push it in retail any more. I used to stock up on gallon concentrated jugs and even give it away to others to try. I won’t ever have to search for it now that I found this one.

Work great. Smells even better. Dogs look silky smooth afterwards. Minimal shedding. Worth the money.

I very rarely leave reviews but this product (and matching conditioner) absolutely blew my mind how much hair came off my German shepherd mix. The best tip I can give is to also get the diluting bottles and let each product sit for 5 minutes and scrub with fingers. Actual fist fulls of hair came off of her (which she very much needed with her very thick undercoat). Diluting it got this product down to her skin and cleaned her beautifully. Not to mention this actually smells good, unlike 99% of dog shampoos. Absolutely would recommend and I fear i will not take her to the groomer ever again.

I have an Aussie and she has a very thick undercoat. This shampoo work great at lossening it up, so I could get a huge chunk of it brushed out! Her coat is also super soft & you definitely get the coconut smell without it being super strong.

The product works great. It lathers quick and really seemed to deshed my pom well. My biggest issue is that I HATE the smell. Idk why I hate it, but I do.

Love this! Makes my dog’s hair soft and shiny. It also helps him shed out. It bubbles up and takes a little amount. It rinses out pretty easy also.

As a professional groomer this is my go to shampoo and conditioner for all hair types. Cleans so well and has a nice smell. Not to mention the job it does getting all the undercoat out.

It does get the dead hair off, it really does, but... its been about 3-4 since last bath w/ this shampoo and she is still shedding badly and then she started getting a seborrhea type smell to her skin... So I just went back to the shampoo I used before and ordered her a Ayurvedic shampoo. So yes this shampoo pulls out the fur... but... I don't like how it leaves the condition of her skin... Update: she is still shedding? Does this stuff rinse off? That "Silicon glycol" is made by DOW & made from Petroleum, oil products. Will my dog STOP shedding? I've never had a long hair dog. She is my first. When she came, no shed at all, then spring came, she had "minor shedding". And a Thick lush undercoat. If she got rained on, she throws it off. I saw a groomer recommending this, so I decided to get it as she entered the Fall shed. She won't stop shedding! It's less but almost daily I've been getting a vacuum cleaner, tankful of fur? I barely used any of that shampoo? I always dilute the shampoo & especially with a big dog with thick fur, so its not like I used too much... I'm not using again and I just hope her really nice undercoat comes back. If I hadn't seen this rec. by a GROOMER I would of never tried it. She didn't SHED at ALL (except at spring) until I used this shampoo & now she won't stop? And Amazon says its too late to send back!? That's weird? And not right.
