My original purchase from Amazon, $111, 128 g, was early September, 2020. I was impressed with the way it functioned. However, during the 2nd week, the protective clip came loose from the swivel pin, it fell to the ground biking, the leather case I lost. Amazon replaced it.The replacement arrived September 19, and it worked perfectly until yesterday, November 3. I was updating files on it using my Mac.When finished, I ejected the drive, but I smelled burning. When I gripped the drive with my fingers to remove it, it was at so high a temperature, I involuntarily snatched my hand away. It was that hot, really. I had to remove it by pulling the usb cord to which it was attached.After it cooled so I could handle it, I connected it to the Mac. After 1-2 minutes, Not only did the temperature rise to the point I could no longer touch it with bare fingers, every one of the files it contained were burned away. The iKlips was not recognized by my computer. There was no iKlips icon on the display.
