Q: What size candle fits in this holder? Dimensions of the interior?

It can hold candles that are up to 2-1/2" diameter by 3-1/2" tall. It looks fantastic with a small tealight sized candle as well.

Q: I have a small glass tealight holder. Can I put that inside the alabaster candle holder

That is the practice to which I have taken. I have some glass tea light holders and I remove the the candle from the metal cup so that it transmits as much light as possible. This is a rather large piece, with an inner diameter of slightly more than 2 5/8". It is deep, too, so I have to be careful lowering the glass cup. It could probably accommodate a small votive cup, but I don't want to risk damage.

Q: What is the diameter of the top opening?

The one I bought, the opening is 2-3/4".
