The Suncast 100' hose reel is inexpensive, works well, and my old one lasted over ten years. The reel finally burst and water was gushing out of it. I thought the old reel was irretrevably broken and I ordered a new one. But when removing the old one I discovered that the short leader hose got brittle and burst. I could have just replaced the leader hose. Everything else looked to be in fairly good condition, even the O-rings. So I installed the new one but kept the old one and will plan on using it at another station.I read other reviews that complained about the leader hose kinking. But my old one never kinked, and the new one did not kink. Perhaps the whoever installed it did not route it carefully. It's a decent hose reel for a decent price. Most other hose reels seem to be enclosed inside a box. That will turn into a spider nest and also you won't be able to carefully wind the hose neatly onto the reel. Enclosures seem like a bad idea to me.

I have three of these in my yard. They do leak, but you can minimize it with waterproofing. They are compact but hold 100 feet of hose easily. It's easy for me to roll the hose up even though I'm old. To me they're a good value because it's good quality for the cost, and mine have lasted 10+ years. You can't beat that!
