It will definitely leave some residue on your hands... as with all waxes it's pretty thick, so you'll want to wash your hands if you touch your hair - especially if you have sensitive skin.

If I blow dry my hair and then curl it with a curling iron and my hair is short can I use this product to make it look better

Definitely. It works very well. I'd recommend you looking into By Vilain Silver Fox or Gold Digger. These are even better products.
