Q: Does this have any stays on the top/sides? Or does it only have the metal "spoon" part on the bottom for rigid support?

The wrist brace does have 2 semi-rigid plastic stays that when relaxed, are on the sides. My wrist is small so when I secure the brace, the stays are somewhat closer to the top than the sides. This is my 2nd Mueller brace and has been one of the best ones I have found and used. Will be happy to answer any other question.

Q: How do you know what size to order? Can someone give me measurements to go by , like max. fit on small./ med.

The description says sm/med is for 5 - 7.5 ". My measurement is 6" and it fits very well. Hope this helps.

Q: Does this brace come in black?

This specific item does not come in black, similar carpal tunnel wrist stabilizers do however.

Q: Does this have ribs on sides of the wrist as well?

Yes, the brace has wide, flexible, yet firm ribs on both sides as well as an even wider stiff support of the same material that extends through the underside of the brace. So, in essence, it has 3 stiff support strips running the length of the brace.
