Great versatility
Big sound! Debuted it in live performance with a 10 piece band and it cut through the horns, no problem, but was versatile enough to play more subtly behind vocal parts. Latin jazz, stage bands, and musical theatre percussionists will find lots of uses for this gem. The smaller version would probably have worked for my needs, but the larger shaker offers more volume and a little darker sound. Highly recommended.

Nice shaker for the money
Nice shaker. Takes a little technique to make it work, but it has a nice sound and a good dynamic range. I like this shaker a lot.

THE percussion people
My maracas were cracked and useless from decades of abuse and I needed some shakers on a project. This is perfect for all styles. I love the smooth, lite shimmering sound of this shaker. Extremely functional, this shaker is all I need. Beautiful sound. Meinl proves they’re the ones to beat in percussive tones. Just perfect. Fun! The tube fits so easily in a hand and you can get variations in how you hold and shake it. Meinl forever!

Really loud!
This hand-held instrument produces a dynamic sound that is quite loud. For example, the sound from this instrument drowns out the music I'm accompanying. Unless I'm in the mood to blast my home audio equipment, I resort to using quieter egg shakers. Theae shakers would be great for a musician who jams with other musicians.

Meinl Percussion Shaker
Well, after just a few minutes of checking out this shaker I noticed that one of the ends was coming off, thankfully I seen it before it did, those beads would have went everywhere, I won't be returning it as this is a simple fix, but for those that buy one make sure you keep an eye on the ends, there are much better glues out there that they should be using for this...Rumble Road Records & NoSlip Records

No lo compres!
Si no buscas una sonaja para tu bebé, sino hacer música, no lo compres. Está bueno para hacer ruido, pero el hecho de que sea de un plástico muy delgado hace que sea y suene como un juguete. No vale el precio. Intentaré regresarlo. Dudo hasta que sea original, quizá es pirata.
