Q: Is water able to get inside the octopus, or is it completely sealed?

Water can get in. The fish and octopus are like squirters. Water can get in Daniel too. Hard to get out. I actually put glue over the holes and ended up gluing the whole boat together (make sure to get over the windows and seams). Without glue, the whole boat fell apart every time my son touched it. Very frustrating.

Q: Is it possible to purchase only the Daniel figurine? We have the other pieces but need a new one.

We were also in need of only the Daniel for our set and we were unable to find only the Daniel and ended up buying a new set after our puppy got ahold of the octopus too.

Q: I received this item as a gift but the blue & red boat pieces do not stayed fit together. Is this how it is supposed to be?

I had the same exact problem- I can't imagine that's how it's suppose to be bc without those pieces together the boat sinks.. the few times I got the pieces to stay together the boat would float... very disappointed with this product.. I thought the one my daughter got was defected but starting to look like a poorly made toy! Good luck
