I was very pleased to see the charge indicator light that is not on the wire connector, but on the laptop, stay on after plugging this new charger in. Plugging in the previous, original "brick" would turn the light on only for a second or two, indicating a fault in the battery charging system. If this new power supply did the same thing, that would mean that one or more power handling components on the "motherboard" malfunctioned, making the entire computer effectively a total loss. In my experience, repairs that involve having permanent components replaced on the motherboard is an expensive and foolish pursuit. Thankfully, our Dell Vostro 7500 is back in action, only needing a new power supply. I now hope that it'll continue to work well for at least another three years.

Honestly felt like this charger is better than the original

My laptop keeps giving me a “you’re using a low voltage adaptor” warning when using this charger and the battery will not hold a charge with this adaptor. When powered with the standard adapter that it came with the laptop holds a charge, but when using this one it doesn’t charge and only works when plugged in.

Great replacement cord. It met all my needs

Only lasted 5 months.

Does not work on Dell Inspiron 5400 AIO as specified. Ordered and when came in, plug too big to fit in socket. Do not trust Compatibility listing.
