Picked the base model of the 2018 ASUS Designo line up for $199. For that price point - I'm very satisfied. Aesthetically, the monitor looks really slick. Super thin and compliments my space gray 2019 Macbook Pro nicely. I got this to work from home and, so far, it has met my expectations. Because I am connected via HDMI, I am limited to 60 hz refresh rate but I'm mostly reading and doing data crunching so it's no big deal.UPDATE 6/19/20 - I stand corrected. You can get up to 75hz refresh rate via HDMI output from 2019 Macbook Pro. In Mac OS, bring up the display settings for the ASUS monitor (NOT your retinal display) and select "scaled" rather than "standard" output. You can then choose 50, 60 or 75hz refresh rate from a drop down menu.As other reviewers have noted - the speakers are "fine" in that it's better than NO on board speakers. Okay to watch the occasional online video or listen to music while you work. If I were going to watch movies / play games on this monitor I would want a set of speakers or a sound bar but I'm using it almost exclusively for work so the speakers meet my needs.Picture is fantastic, bright and clear. Lots of customization options depending on your needs. I keep in primarily in "READING" mode but have hooked my Switch up to it, turned it to "GAMING" mode and the games look great. No dead pixels. Works great as the main display when I'm using my Macbook as a desktop. If You use the monitor primarily for working with documents , spreadsheets and web pages, you are going to see the "screen door" in your text after staring at it awhile. Honestly - I'm fine with it and wasn't very interested in spending $1000+ so I could get a monitor that matches the resolution on my Macbook. I needed this in a pinch so I didn't become the hunchback of Notre Dame crumpled over my laptop for 8+ hours a day and it has performed exactly as I had hoped.5 stars for -* value. I am a visual artist who also games. I’ve been looking for a large IPS monitor for a while. This monitor looks great for both purposes. The colour selection is decent - I will likely upgrade in the future for something with a higher colour gamut but that will put me in the thousands of dollar range which is a whole different class of monitor. For this resolution this monitor was a steal and it truly performs with a beautiful picture. Nice and sharp. I took a chance on a warehouse deal and picked it up for $230. Box was dinged but not a scratch on the device. So I am VERY happy with this purchase.Pros: easy adjustment up and down with a very smooth and elegant sliding mechanism. Tilts nicely too. Elegant design. Low profile frameless design with brushed aluminum looking finish. Good picture quality. Good frame rate. Great resolution. Nice high end without going into 4K and losing frames. I like the middle ground. IPS so great for me wiggling in my chair when trying to edit images. Putting it together was a synch and I didn’t even need a screwdriver to do it.Cons: it’s SUPER thin. Manipulating it makes me nervous as the screen bends/flexes easily. Every time I wake it up it flashes “digital port” or “HDMI” on the screen and that irritates the crap out of me. It’s HDMI, sound and other cable ports are located on the back. Convenient to be able to plug devices or cables in here, but have to move the monitor completely around to get to it - and it feels fragile so I hate doing it. Thankfully I control my sound through external speakers that I can plug headphones into directly. So once set up I have no need to plug things in here. But if you want to put a pair of headphones in the jack on the back of the screen and remove them a lot it could get annoying.

Hermoso monitor, grande y con un gran diseño y estilo, me gustó que tuviera bocinas integradas y una bocina de bajos aparte, trae 2 entradas HDMI y la rotación de este hablando verticalmente es muy versátil, tiene fugas de luz pero en lo personal no me afecta. la imagen es muy nítida y clara.Lo único malo, aparte de las fugaz de luz, es que al momento de no estar reproduciendo algun sonido en el monitor este hará un tipo de interferencia, es algo molesto y solo desaparece cuando bajas el volumen del monitor a 0 o bien, si pones algún audio.

Buen producto,imagen nítida acorde a las características y sonido claro sin distorsión. Solo un poco mas de potencia en el sonido seria excelente.
