is the brim smaller than normal hat?

Yes. About 1/2 as long. I have also used the baseball cap style. While kiteboarding, wind wants to push the baseball style up and away.

Is there a way to adjust the size? my head is pretty big, i'd say xxl

Can you wear this scuba diving?

Sure. It would stay on but might drag a bit because of the small visor. You can duck dive a surfboard with it.

Hello, I usually use M/L for hats (I’m a man and my head’s pretty big) and this surf hat fitted me perfect, so I don’t think it’s going to fit you.

Best sailing hat I have ever had

I have been windsurfing and then kiteboarding for 40 years. A good hat or cap was always an issue. This cap covers the head and does not fall off when I crash. The only issue I have is that black colour is not ideal for hot days.
