manufacturer or seller how much% against UV can protect this store?

The question doesn’t make sense

What is the upf or spf protection rating?

It just says uv protection in the description

Does this sit on top of the sand or would you dig a small hole to fill with some water?

It sits on top of the sand (comes with pegs), other than a large oval that goes down into a hole in the sand and you can pour water in the nylon oval for a little kiddie pool!

my 6 month old cannot sit up on his own. what might i use for him to sit in there on his own? a bumbo?

You could! The spot for water digs into the ground so he may even be able to do supported sitting
