Square arrived as chunks and crumbs, infested with insects
I've bought these before at the feed store and they were fine - my chickens really like them (and other Happy Hen Treats products). The problem with this order is that the product needed more rigid or cushioned packaging to survive the trip. By the time it arrived it was no longer a block, just a couple of larger chunks and a bunch of crumbs. UPDATE: Closer examination revealed that some of the insect parts in the block were not the mealworms that were supposed to be in it. It had been infested by miller moths, and what looked like bits of small mealworms were the dried skins of the caterpillars. No wonder my chickens turned up their beaks when I offered them some of the crumbs! Amazon really should check its stock at the warehouse this block came from to make sure these pests haven't infested all of it.

my girls love these
I bought these for boredom in the cold months when they dont get out much. well I guess these must be good because my girls ate the whole thing in one day. I hung it up for them in the morning and it was gone by evening, lol I think I m going to freeze the next one and wait till it gets a little colder out before hanging it so it may last longer. When its not froze, they break off big chunks and it disappears fast

Hundreds of Live Ants in Box!!
I grabbed it right from the delivery man. When I opened it, there was an infestation of fire ants. It took me 20 minutes to get rid of them out of my house. The box was full of them, but they were originating from the treat square. They had tunnels already built inside. I tossed it into the coop with tongs. The chickens loved it, but me, not so much.

My silkie chicken liked it.
My silkie is a picky eater and I’m running out of ideas on what to give her. I came across this product and decided to buy it for her. The price is a little pricey for a small square treat but my silkie chicken liked it. I am not sure if I would buy it again but if my chicken wasn’t a picky eater than I would buy it again.

Item was shipped quickly, however when it arrived is ...
Item was shipped quickly, however when it arrived is wasn't a square anymore. It had broken down and only about half of it was in a solid form. The bag was still sealed, so I was able to throw the other half of loose seeds out to my ladies who promptly ate it up - but that defeated the purpose of a block that they could peck at. The other treat square stayed in a block so at least I had one to use.

Did not want to eat it!
My chickens pecked at the treat square one time and then backed away. They normally love treats like sunflower seeds and meal worms.Total waste of my money. Its Cheaper to get a handful organic seeds from the store and make your own healthy squares. And its super easy. Also it doesn't feel safe to feed my pets treats made in China. Unfortunately my chickens love the dried meal worms from Happy Hen, but hopefully soon a company can start producing them in USA instead.

Chickens go nuts over it!
I am delighted that my chickens love this seed treat. It arrived very fresh & on time. I am happy with the price & the quality. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a treat for their chickens or for songbirds (yes, they enjoyed it too!).

Was not a block. Came crumbled
The actual seeds and stuff seem fine, but when I received this, it was not in a block. It was in pieces. The whole purpose of me ordering the block is so my chickens have something to peck at for a while.. I guess I’ll just toss this out to them by hand.Pretty disappointing though.
