Perfect light output for my needs
I had to remove the ballast circuits from my old fittings which was simple to do and once done the lights are very effective without being too bright.

Absolutely high quality
Absolutely high quality installed in kitchen display cabinet as old cfl lamps failed, as an electrical engineer you Must remove a ballast and wir via switch to the 240 v supply you can not wire in series each lamp has to have a mains supply hope that clears perhaps that's why some customers have had problems and given a low score follow my advice they are extremely good

Nice and brights compared to the original bulb
Nice replacement led bulb

These bulbs do work if you follow the instructions.
I read a number of reviews complaining that the bulbs don’t work properly or that they are dim. The instructions are clear and state that you must remove or bypass the ballast. These have worked perfectly well for me.
User
One of the bulbs was not working correctly!
When installed and turned on, one light worked as it was supposed to and the other was very dim and half as bright. I tried changing the bulbs over but still the same bulb failed. I have returned the bulbs for a refund.

Nice and bright replacements for older fluorescent bulbs
These are bright white lights that can be used to replace older fluorescent bulbs. We had a problem with one of the bulbs and contacted the seller who quickly sent us a replacement. Excellent service and the light is now fully working

Works great as a LED upgrade bulb in OttLite Desk Lamp PL7972
I purchased this LED Bulb to upgrade my OttLite PL7972 Desk Lamp/Magnifying Lens from a 13W G23 base fluorescent bulb to a LED bulb. This was easy to do but it does require you bypass the fluorescent ballast in the base of the lamp. You need to be experienced with working on 120 Volt circuitry. I just cut the existing connections to the ballast and used Wago Lever Nuts (or wire nuts) to splice the connections directly to the G23 bulb holder base. The light is bright and illuminates a 180 degree area. The built in metal finned heat sink on the back of the bulb is very effective. My thermal camera showed the front of the light was 85F and the heatsink was 140F. My OttLite has a reflector that works perfect with this bulb and surrounds the heat sink area so there is no danger of touching the hot surface.

Don’t buy this product
The bulb worked for two switches and now doesn’t work.

Works Great
The product exactly met expectations for a bargain price.I have an OttLite fluorescent table lamp that experienced an electronic ballast failure. What to do?Option 1: replace the electronic ballast. No go because OttLite doesn't provide replacement ballasts and a generic replacement made no sense for the cost and aggravation of tracking down.Option 2: replace the electronic ballast with a magnetic ballast. No go. Again cost (throw in extra cost because a new non-electronic lamp bulb would also be needed) and the aggravation of tracking down, along with questions of whether a magnetic ballast would physically fit in the lamp base factored in made this an unappealing idea.Option 3: Bonlux led replacement lamp. Hurray!! We have a winner. This lamp is a perfect fix at a great price. Two lamps for under $15, equal light out put to the old fluorescent and no more ballast issues to contend with. Removed the old ballast (this retrofit lamp does not use a ballast at all, rewired the connections, turned on and voila a good as new OttlLite saved from the scrap pile.

Best Replacement Bulb for Ott Lamp (after conversion).
I have four Ott Lamps that use a CFL bulb with this type of socket. Approximately two years ago, the bulbs in two of these lamps burnt out in rapid succession after 8 years of light to moderate use. The Ott replacement bulb costs $20 each. I don't think I paid that amount for the entire light. I was about to throw them away.In my search on Amazon for replacement bulbs, I saw these 120VAC LED bulbs which had similar light color and Lumens.I converted those lamps to 120 VAC by removing the ballasts. It was easy to do... Just cut the wires to / from the circuit board, remove the ballast, and solder each wire together (one wire to Neutral, the other wire to Hot -- make sure to insulate the connections well with appropriate electrical tape). This Bonlux bulb does indeed put out the equivalent light compared to the Ott bulb, both in terms of color and intensity. The cost of the Bonlux LED bulb was 60% less than the Ott replacement bulb. Plus LED's use less energy, give off less heat, and last longer than the CFL's. Plus the CFL's contain mercury which make them environmentally hazardous to dispose of.The other day, a third bulb Ott bulb burnt out. It took me approximately 15 minutes to convert that lamp. I removed the ballast, re-wired, and installed the Bonlux bulb.I couldn't be happier with the results. My Ott lamps are back in service. They perform as well as the originals, plus these Bonlux bulbs are significantly cheaper. I also expect them to last longer.
