Works great
With 6.5 inches of water column natural gas, burner brought 7gal of water from 63F to a boil in 32.5min. That’s about 16,000btu/hr. Given it was a bottom burner and 25F outside, that’s pretty good. No idea what the gas flow was but I’d say I was burning about 30,000 btu/hr at about 50% efficiency. Stable at higher and lower pressures.

Perfect for converting to natural gas
Worked perfectly for converting our turkey fryer to natural gas. Just needed to get a few parts to go on it, and it was done and ready to go. Very easy to put on, perfect size and great price.

This is not efficient for propane, it burns thru it entirely to fast with no way to get it to burn a blue flame, turning your pot to a black color

I wanted to convert my Turkey fryer to natural gas, but couldn’t find much information so I bought this to experiment with. It works great!I mounted it to a cheap turkey fryer stand. It does have a hole for a screw/bolt mount but that didn’t work with my particular stand, so I used hose clamps. One trip to Lowe’s for some 3/8” threaded pipe, a standard ball valve, and another 2” of 3/8 threaded pipe.I have the 10 tip unit; and I’m not sure what the BTU/hr rating is, but it heated up a crawfish stock pot significantly faster than the 55,000 BTU/hr propane unit it replaced.I haven’t tried to control the temperature of oil for a fry yet, but with the ball valve I seem to have good control over the flame for fine adjustment; and it runs pretty low without going out. It was pretty windy when I tried it too. I’m sure it will work great for frying or using a wok.
