Ho acquistato un warehouse deals: la scatola era distrutta ma l'accendino non era mai stato usato. Funziona molto bene. Suggerimento: usate solo la benzina originale zippo. In un altro esemplare ho provato ad usare il petrolio bianco che era suggerito in alcuni forum, il risultato è stato un accendino che non funzionava più nemmeno con la benzina originale. Presumibilmente dopo l'evaporazione della componente volatile era rimasta una componente pesante che non prendeva fuoco con la scintilla. Ho dovuto sostituire stoppino, tutto il cotone sintetico e la pietrina (consumata dai tentativi) per rimetterlo in sesto spendendo quasi come l'accendino nuovo.

I bought this to replace my Zippo logo black matte that I have misplaced. The black matte did not show any fingerprints but was impossible to find in the dark so I thought this lighter would be easier to see. The ebony is easier to see but does show fingerprints. The fingerprints can easily be removed with lighter fluid. The finish on this lighter is very nice and looks great but does scratch easily. In fact the finish is so nice that I do not even want to use it, guess I will have to get a different Zippo for everyday use. As far as how the lighter works, well it's a Zippo so the quality is great and it lights first try every time. If you have friends that use Bic lighters get their lighters from them when they run out of fluid and take the flints out and save them. For some reason the flints in the Bic lighters last about 3 times longer than Zippo flints.

It's just a piece of finest American engineering in your pocket. Just remember to buy the lighter fluid.

The glossy zippo looks and feels good, plus it stands by its name. Light it up in a thunderstorm, and you could put the whole forest on fire! 😄 A good piece for functionality, and statement of course, for someone who understands what it really is!
