great for visually impaired both for Braille and graphing (math class)
A few weeks in and some of the balls won't come up to the surface of the board. I originally gave it 5 stars but I didn't expect anything to malfunctionI am using this as a Braille practice board because it's much bigger than any specialty peg board I have seen. By bigger I mean one can make more Braille Letters ( 96 if my math is correct but in practical terms, it's less because spaces are needed between words). Still, this seems big enough to use like a Braille approximation of a dry erase board,It seems like this could be great for visually impaired students who are learning graphing for math class too. By pulling up each dot between the origin and where a given point needs to go, a student can count the clicks. Then they can go back and push down unneeded dots ( tactile counting). The origin would have to be a broken line of string or masking tape or maybe a card with holes. The holes or line breaks are important so beads that represent points on the origin can be pulled up. Depending on how visually impaired the student is, points can either be connected with string or for those with low vision a dry erase marker might work. Pics could be taken and printed for each problem or a scribe could copy the graphs for turning in.I am good at math but visually counting those line intersections makes graphing homework torturous. I have an injury to my occipital lobes. So even though my eyes can " take clear pictures" my brain often cannot figure out what the pics are. If I have to take more math classes, I will be looking to by a second one of these. I had my roommate draw boxes around braille cells on this one.If you want to compare the biggest pegboard made for Braille that I have seen is The Braille Store Wooden Brailleit Board - Practice And Learn Braille Dot By Dot

I wouldn't consider this a freeform art tool like an Etch-a-sketch or Magnadoodle
Everyone loves this! My kids, any of their cousins or friends who come over, grown ups too. Those little bead clicks are gratifying. :-) I can't tell you how many robots have been drawn on this thing. Because of the grid pattern, I wouldn't consider this a freeform art tool like an Etch-a-sketch or Magnadoodle. You have to stick to pretty straight lines and angles. But pretty designs and patterns are fun to make, and my 2 year old is so proud of herself for anything she creates. One thing I will say, the bead clicks are pretty loud. Another reviewer mentioned taking this to restaurants to keep the kids busy while they wait. I won't do that because this is not a quiet toy. Don't entertain ideas of taking this to church or a waiting room. ;-)I also wish the "pen" were tethered to the tablet somehow. So far, we've managed not to loose it yet, but I may attach some kind of string to be safe.

Great travel toy
This has been a great toy for in the car. Easy for toddlers to use and fun for adults even to play with. The metal balls falling and being pulled can get noisy, so don't expect to use as a quiet toy. My only complaint is the magnetic pen is not attached and can be easy to drop or misplace.

Love it!
I remember having one of these as a kid, so when I saw this I had to get it for my son! He loves it! It is great for practicing letters and drawing shapes. He also loves that it glows in the dark, so he can use it in his room at night!

Fun for all ages
This provides hours of fun for my 10 year old and even her 14 year old brother will pick it up and use it. Even the adults in our life enjoy messing around with this. This might even make a good toy for someone in a nursing home with some dexterity in their hands. The only down fall is it can be a little bit noisy - not bad for most situations but wouldn't be good for quiet places like church or a recital.

We love this!
Not sure who loves this more me or the grand-kids. Its totally relaxing to try to make new cool patterns. We all love to play with it. My adult kids think its therapeutic too

Test out toy upon purchase to make sure it is not defective. Fun and different gift idea.
Purchased this 1 1/2 months ago for kid's birthday today. The present was opened and kid says toy is "entertaining and very fun". Would be good for a long car ride to keep the kid occupied. The magnet pulls little silver balls up to form a picture, but in our case, instantly 2 of the balls fall back down and do not stay in place. If the picture being made uses those spots, the picture is incomplete. The return window is only 30 days. Fun toy, but defective if some of the balls will not stay in place. I recommend that you try it out before 30 days or you may end up with a defective item.

Grandson likes it.
I purchased it for my grandson who is autistic. I just gave it to him yesterday and he seemed to like.

Also annehmbar.

Definitiv ein Top-Produkt
Cooles Spielzeug.
