I am making cookie dough as well as sour dough bread, which is very dense, and this machine works great for them. That's why I actually got it, since the biggest motor Kitchen Aid have is 575-watt motor or less, at least I haven't found more than 600 watts, whereas this model is 800 watts, which makes it better for dense dough, at least in my experience.
