GM Genuine Parts 12703898 Engine Water Pump

I will only buy GM original or ACDelco for my truck, 2005 Z71 crewcab. I’ve been there and done that with no name parts that are a fraction of the price. It’s totally not worth doing the job twice, three times… is it? Spend the little bit extra $$$ and buy once.. cry once. There, I said it. So this water pump is no different than any other GM original, works fantastic, fit perfectly, even came with some aluminum/rubber gaskets.. they rock! No leaks and no RTV necessary! I would buy this again without hesitation. The quality can be felt when you hold it. It fit perfectly and I used my old thermostat.. fit great as well. Do not cheap out on the water pump, buy OEM. Also stamped.. built in Canada. I would prefer this to China any day of the week.

Quality GM original water pump! I used my original thermostat and housing with no issues! 2 Hour job! Thermostat hole in pump is same diameter as original! Aftermarket replacement pumps have larger holes with different thermostat housing. I like original GM parts better! 2005 cadillac escalade esv 6.0 engine

Worked great and no leaks after a few weeks. Used the included gaskets just scraped, wire brushed the block and add some grease on the rubber of the gaskets. Be sure to change to the updated thermostat and housing to use for this waterpump. If you have the single piece thermostat and housing it WILL NOT WORK. Included picture of correct oem thermostat to use with this pump.

This genuine GM water pump is terrific. One thing you will want to be aware of is that not all designs of thermostats/housings will fit in this water pump. I believe the design was changed as some point. I will include two pictures so you can see the visual difference between the two. The thermostat housing that fits is the style that does not include a thermostat as a part of the housing. The thermostat housing that does not fit is a one piece housing that includes the thermostat.

I wanted to save cash for a bee double e double r u n. It helped but two years later it broke so I bought GM pump and could visibility tell a difference. Works great, no problem install.

Update 1 year 10 months later. I developed a whining issue and thought it might have been the alternator, so I replaced it with the tensioner and idler pulley. Unfortunately that wasn't it, got a stethoscope and put it to the water pump and that's where are the noise came from. I replaced my previous water pump because I changed out the radiator, now I wish I would have left it in. I pretty much buy everything, Delco, but this wasn't the quality I expected I recently had a radiator that had a crack and I had to replace it in the middle of nowhere to get back home. Unfortunately I got the wrong thermostat from the auto parts store, so I knew I was going to have to go back and change it. Then I had a heater hose connector go bad on me and then I figured, I'm just going to go ahead and replace everything since I'm going to have to go back into it. The water pump I had was working fine, but I have 250,000 miles on my truck and since I'm going to be replacing the thermostat, I'm just going to go ahead and do it. I drive over the mountains a lot and this is relatively cheap insurance. I went ahead and got the felpro gaskets to go along with it, the ones that came in the box are probably just fine, but it's peace of mind knowing the quality of everything going in there. I also know that there was a lot of questions about the fitment of the thermostat housing because of a change in production. I picked up an AC Delco 15-11057 and there was no fitment issues. I was a pretty simple job, It didn't take long even though I took my time.

This item didnt have the thermostat, and none available that fits this design.
