I would think 7 years is Senior. My Cat is 13 she has been eating Nulo for several years. Only dry food he will eat.

Q: Can this just be mixed with other grain free cat food to last longer rather than mix to switch completely?

I see no reason why not. In fact it is good, I read, to change the kittie's food over gradually.
