I got the blue one because it was the cheapest. Feels solidly built.

This spins great, looks great on my black glass table, and is all around the best thing ever. Here's an idea I had and it works well... you can balance the sphere on a couple fingertips and spin it. It looks MESMERIZING on the tips of my fingers. For what it's worth, I got the small version. It's about the size of those Chinese balls (maybe slightly bigger). This is my favorite thing ever. The first one I got was the black one. It was--and is--PERFECT. It spins like an alien ghost dancing into the walls of an ancient castle--quiet, you cannot hear it spinning. I think that's a bonus because the illusion is the lines are moving down into the table (or up from the table). So I bought a blue one, silver one, and the gold one. All the other ones. I bought them for my nephews. So far I've tried the black one, the blue one, and the silver one. The blue one is the loudest of the three I've unboxed. It's still cool, but I don't like how loud the blue one is. The silver one is very quiet, but the black one is the most quiet of all. On second thought, you probably would not even notice how loud the blue one is if you had never experienced the quietude of the black ball. You would probably say you can't hear anything when you spin the blue ball. I was not expecting this... My favorite is now the silver. I still love the black ball, but I think my new favorite is the silver one.

I bought two of these spinners for my kids for their Easter baskets. They came in a nice box. The kids were excited to open these. They both have them sitting on their desks, so when they do virtual school/homework they can spin them and watch them. Every time I walk by I spin them too. We got a silver one and a blue one. The blue one it me is more appealing to watch. But the kids love them so that is what matters!

I'm always looking for desktop gadgets to fiddle with. I got the small size and really enjoy it. It's quiet, spins smoothly, and I find the spiral effect relaxing.
