It is a great addition to the basic version of the game. We only got to play 1 round, but it was a fun and engaging change up to the regular game. Highly recommend if you only have the basic version.

The family really get into the game it is a 100% better for family time. The children are asking to play it.😀😀👍🏽

About eight of my friends at work play this game every day at lunch. We have about a dozen games to select from, but this has been our favorite. The expansion brings the challenge up several notches. While the original game is fun in unto itself, the expansion is a must. It is a more fun because it is not just dwarfs vs saboteurs, now most dwarfs have competing goals. There are blue dwarfs, green dwarfs, crystal hunters, bosses, profiteers, and saboteurs. It is now no longer obvious if a player is a saboteur or not, and even if they are, they might not be your biggest threat! It takes us about an hour to get through 3-4 rounds. The rules are a little confusing, but after a few rounds, you'll get a better understanding and will create house rules to tailor to your group. I would recommend playing the original game a few times first, to get used to the mechanics of the game. If you enjoy the stand alone game, you must get the expansion.

This game is so fun, after playing three basic version, I got this expanded one for my niece. It’s a family favorite. Fairly easy to learn and goes quickly.
