Best option for freestanding bag
As other reviewers have said before, this type of heavy bag cannot replace a hanging heavy bag. Hanging heavy bags are almost always better for reasons I won't get into here, but if you can't hang a bag then this is the best freestanding bag that I've used and is worth buying. It's taller and wider than others and the base can hold 250 lbs of sand so it doesn't move easily. Plus the bag is long so you can practice low kicks without having to make any adjustments. The bag seems well made but maybe a little thin on the outside. I was worried it would tear but so far it's fine. One thing that bothers me is that, even though the bag is larger than others of this type, there's still not enough padding between the plastic core and the outside surface. With 4 oz gloves you will definitely feel that plastic core on your knuckles if you hit hard so heavy bag gloves are still recommended here. Also, I think the price should be a little less. I don't see what makes this so expensive. A B.O.B. bag costs about the same and those seem like they would be much more expensive to manufacture.I read a few reviewers saying that this is impossible to knock over, which isn't true. It's very hard to knock over but possible with a side kick. And it does slide a little even from jabs but not as bad as smaller freestanding bags.I'd like to have a hanging bag but this will do just fine. Plus it's portable.

Great Bag
I like this bag a lot. Since it is upstairs in my bonus room, I opted to fill it with sand instead of water, just in case it ever sprung a leak. It was quite a job to fill with sand. I used Quickcrete Play Sand that I bought at Lowe's in 50lb bags for $2.88/bag (~$20 total for 6 bags). I used a funnel and scooped it out of the bag into the funnel. The sand builds up in that area and you have to tilt the base to the other side to move the sand around. It gets harder and harder to tilt for filling once you have so much in there. I ended up having to get my husband to tilt it for me after about the 200 lb mark. He was at work for the last 50 lb and I used a mini baseball bat to stick in the whole and move the sand around. I large stick would also work. I put 200 lbs of sand at first, and I could still knock the bag down. I put another 100 lbs in (300 lbs total) and it's satisfactory. It still slides a bit but I can't knock it down. I don't think I could fit any more sand in there. These are also the same bags we use at my dojo, filled with water. I don't think they are completely full, or maybe some water evaporated over the years. You can hear it sloshing around when it's kicked hard enough to tilt the bag. There are also plenty of people at the dojo who have no trouble kicking these completely over (including myself) so they probably need to be refilled. They seem to be very durable. We have had three of these bags for over 8 years and only one of them has broken. The connector from the base to the bag broke in half and needs replacement. I asked my Sensei about purchasing one from his supplier and he couldn't get a cheaper price (I paid $300).

Look no further, this is the one you want!
I took a kick boxing class with bags like this and fell in love. I can't find time to actually go to the gym anymore, so I started looking for a bag to have at home. I looked, researched, and read reviews for a month or more. Nothing compared to this bag! Other bags are too light, too small, you need a big awkward stand to hang them from. A lot of bags will settle and get lumps if you don't pay attention to the material that's inside of it. This bag is freestanding, which means it takes up a few feet of room, and that's it. The foam on the inside of the part that you hit is incredibly durable. The bag is big enough that my husband and I can hit and kick at the same time and not hit each other. There is just a ton of surface area! When I wrap my arms around it as far as I can reach, I am over 6" from touching my hands. My husband and I hit it a couple times a week, my kids beat on it daily (5 of them). They even run and slam themselves into it to see if they can knock it over, they can't, and it's only filled with water, but it's very sturdy. It still looks great, no sagging, bumps, or lumps. I was nervous paying so much for something online that I needed so much from, but I am so glad I did! If you have any questions feel free to ask, I will help any way I can. I believe this is a superior product!

Well Designed Martial Arts Tool with Flaws
This was very easy to assemble. I loaded mine with water (although it took a while). I used a funnel and several trips to the sink, but it got done. One thing that needs to be noted that most practitioners already know is that this is not designed to be immobile from heavy/strong attacks. As many of the other reviewers noted, it does move to the point of being knocked over. If you intend on practicing power moves, you need a HEAVIER bag, one that suspends. Light to medium attacks while make it slide a bit. What I appreciate about the modest weight of it is that I can move it around the room without a lot of strain. You may need to get real creative if you desire to keep the Wavemaster completely stationary. I’ve only used this a few times so durability for my product is still in question. But I’ve used one of these at my local dojan and it’s been there for years. This is a popular and trusted brand, so if you are considering this, you likely have been exposed to the hype. It’s a good investment to polish up your TECHNIQUE with some mild power, but don’t expect to exert a lot of force without it going down. If you are trying to destroy it, you will. Arrived sufficiently packaged with some instructions. No complaints here, I knew what I was buying before I put it in the cart.
