Love Palmini Rice. I have used this to make Southern Living's Skillet Sausage & Rice and also Southern Living's Jambalaya w/ chicken and sausage. Also really good for rice pudding. It's delicious every time.

I have only used this “rice” as a base where I add tuna, mayonnaise, pickles, mustard, diced jalapeño. Texture is spot on. I do not see this as being a good substitute to make a fried rice. I do not see it holding up. But, I have not tried to make it this way either. At any rate, for the concoction described above, it is perfect.

Tastes ok for a rice substitute. Not something to make if you are in a hurry. Texture okReceived package and one had burst, which was a mess!

UPDATE!!!...Since I have learned to use this 'rice' better, I have grown into a big fan. I was originally using it as a plain white rice, and as that, it is not great. It is wonderful when you top it with gravies, sauces or add flavorings. I learned that it really is a very satisfying food and a staple to my low carb lifestyle.A suggestion....I rinse the 'rice' well, then toss it in a pan and dry it out. I add a bit of butter, some onion, garlic, spices, flavorings and cook it through! Simple and it is very satisfying.So...I have upgraded my 1 star review to a 5 star review because it truly is a satisfying staple. I apologize for the one star because it was really not based on the product by my inexperience in knowing how to use it! Thank you Palmini for a good, versatile and enjoyable product.I really wanted to love this 'rice' as I am a huge fan of the Palmini 'pasta' but it just didn't cut it. In fact it was almost like eating grated cauliflower than 'rice' I'll definitely be sticking with the konjac rice as it resembles 'rice' more. The consistency and chew is like grated cauliflower. I wish I could return the two I have left but unfortunately there is no refund allowed on this...you can be sure that I won't be buying this again. What a disappointment.

I originally gave this a one star as I tried all I could to make this taste good. I even tried to make pork fried rice but this dish turned out slimey in texture and was mostly flavorless. However, 2 stars goes to customer service. When hearing about my awful experience they reached out to me and things were sorted out. While I cannot personally reccomend this, I bet there maybe someone out there who would like it.

It just tastes like palm hearts. They are neither the size nor the texture of rice, and the palm taste is strong, almost overwhelming. You'll have to drown them in some sort of strong sauce to make them palatable.

This is awesome stuff here. Not much difference in flavor and texrure than rice itself. Rinse and heat up, add to your dish or spice it up and serve. Great alternitive to the carb filled rice.

Best rice substitute HOWEVER you must rinse it off, press out the moisture then I put it in a pan and cook off remaining moisture. Then it does have the look and neutral taste of rice! I used cauliflower rice for two years but it always had cauliflower taste, this heart of palm really has a neutral taste! Will buy again for sure!!
