What temperature does it heat to?

Not sure what the temperature setting is but, seriously, it's not unbearable. It's hot but it only lasts for three seconds. It's worth the three second heat for the results!

Does it work a day after a bite?

Yes, I tried on couple day old bites and it dud remove the itching right away and provide relief if you can just stand the 3sec heat sting, twice in a row. That works for me better that days of constant itching and swollen
