Awesome product! My dog is absolutely crazy for the Hickory smoked pill pockets. The vet said this is the flabor that every dog seems to like. Our dog now loves taking her meds...she hers the pill bottles rattling and she is patiently waiting by my side. I cut them in half and wrap two small pill and a capsule in each. It works out great! So much easier then all the methods we tried. our dog figured out how to spit out the pills and began to refuse cheese, peanut butter, etc. We had to force them in her mouth and literally hold her snout and blow on her face for a bit and occassionally she would still spit them out. This method is stress free and this product is worth every penny!!! They smell incrediblable. Buy the smoked Hickory and you will not be dissappointed.

One pocket per about 15 pounds of dog per day, per Greenies, so these aren't free snacks for little dogs. • Wash your hands of the pill smell before you handle the pocket, or the dog will smell it on the outside. • Drop the pill in, pinch the top closed, and roll it into a ball. A pocket with a pill showing gets eaten around. • Give a plain pocket first, then the one with the pill, then a plain one. A suspicious dog is looking for the trick, so don't give him a pattern to find. • Hickory smoke does smell like barbecue sauce and gets on your fingers. The dogs think that's the best part. • Some pouches are drier than others. If they crack instead of mold, close the bag tight and use them faster, or warm one in your hand for a few seconds. • For a small tablet, tear the pocket in half and get two doses out of one. Five stars. It turns pill time from a wrestling match into something they line up for.

I got these for my 4 doggos for their meds and they not only LOVE the taste the medications don’t fall out while they chew or swallow. I like to take these and mush them all together into a ball and pinch off what I need cuz sometimes there’s more than needed for their needs which also helps them stretch longer and more price effective. Size is perfect if you have several pills or larger pills they even work for dropper meds I just put the dosage I need in the hole it may take a couple depending on amount and gently close them up and it’s they have no issues at all. By giving her tiny little pieces, my finicky dog eventually stopped spitting them out, too, and now she'll even beg for them. I've created a subscribe and save, and these will just become regular treats, and she'll be well adjusted if we need to give her pills another time. As pill pockets, I think they're kind of perfect. They have a strong smoky odor, which I would expect to cover any hint of the pill. They're super pliable, so you could easily use a third to a half of the pocket and re-form it around the pill. I'm not looking forward to putting it to the test, but I'm pretty sure we're covered against that event. Update 1/2016: my dog has come to love them as treats but this week came the test. I had a confederate place the pill in the pocket while I played with the dog in another room, and she still could sense its presence. In fact, she ate the entire treat around the pill, which she spit out. I don't doubt these are wonderful for people whose dogs aren't psychic. For me, this may come down to kevlar gloves and a pill gun.

I am so so glad to have discovered these. Our dog loves them and has no idea. He has three capsules and I’m able to use one ‘pocket’ … breaking it up into three and disguising each capsule. We play ‘find it’ game and so it’s become bit of fun for us too.
