Sow Right Seeds - Cherry Tomato Seed Collection for Planting Home Garden

I started these inside on Valentines Day and had about 95% germination within 5 days. They were planted in 6-cell trays but had to be transplanted to 4" pots after only 4 weeks. The plants were over 18" by late March so I took a chance and planted them on April 10 here in Lexington Kentucky. That date was 5 weeks earlier than recommended for my zone 7a but I kept the plants covered during the cold mornings. I planted 15 of the 36 plants in the garden and gave the rest away to enthusiastic friends. The plants survived but did not thrive in our cool dry spring. However, once the heat wave and heavy rains of June-July hit, the tomatoes grew like crazy. For the first two weeks of July I was picking 10+ lbs every other day. All six varieties are extremely sweet. They are almost as sweet as grapes and are sweeter than my blackberries. I will definitely be using these seeds next season.

Decent number of seeds in each package. Only planted the Black Cherry so far. Germination 100%

Not a full review. We had a plant sitter kill all our seedlings during a vacation, so there will not be a full review. What I can say is every single cherry tomato seed I planted sprouted. I had 100% germination rate with these seeds. I had 60-80% germination with other seeds under the same conditions. I am not saying these are the best, I never got to fruit, but they sprouted very well. I did start new seedlings last night so maybe there will be a follow up.

Very good germination rate. Cherry tomatoes are my favorites, and this collection has been a great addition to my garden. Make sure you plan ahead for indeterminate tomatoes because they can get very large and need proper support. I have been having some disease issues with my larger tomato varieties where the bottoms start turning brown, but the cherry tomatoes from this collection have been doing great. They have been much more vigorous and productive for me so far. The photos are from May in zone 8b. Looking forward to seeing how the different varieties continue producing throughout the season.

I am still amazed by the cherry tomatoe plants. I sell firewood and give my customers tgese tomatoes to try n they are fascinated by them . U've bought them 2 years in a row and hoping I can get more ! Gere are pictures of these seeds full grown in pots not the ground ! Right outside my front door. They get morning sun until about 1pm

It was a big waste of time planting these. I planted some in starter pots, but only three pots grew anything. When transplanting to the garden later on, they didn't die, but didn't grow. I sprinkled the remaining seeds in the garden and a couple more sprouted and grew--actually better than the transplanted ones. STILL only knee high and just starting to get flowers in AUGUST!

I’m overall happy with the Sow Right Cherry Tomato Seed Collection. The variety in this pack is great, and the seeds appear to be good quality. However, the number of seeds in each packet varies quite a bit. For example, the Large Red Cherry Tomato packet only had 55 seeds, while the Yellow Pear had well over 200. The Bi-Color came with exactly 100, Black Cherry had 125, White Cherry had 82, and Orange Cherry was around 175. You get a solid amount of seeds overall and a nice range of heirloom varieties to grow. I’ll update this review after I’ve had a chance to germinate the seeds and see how they perform. This is a good value and a fun mix for a home garden.
