Average mat with some caveats
Understand that overall you are buying a mat that consists of a roll of vinyl sign material with a printed hi-res photo of a wetland taken from overhead. The vinyl is pretty standard for signs...with a slight gridded texture as you might expect (and I have some sign shop experience). Pretty much anything printed in this method is going to have a sheen to it (as mentioned in another review above). It has not been edged. This will probably be a matter of personal preference to some but the photo is either printed out to the edge of the vinyl or more likely cut with a mechanical process. As a result the edge is very thin so this mat came with upturned corners. Also mentioned in the other reviews...it will probably take time and clamps to get it flat. Personally I would have taken the white border, folded it under, and hit it with double sided tape to have the mat's edges lay better. However, this would easily add 10 minutes to the process of creating it. Also the creator added a company logo to one corner of the mat. While this was standard in the 90s or so for wargaming mats...it detracts from the overall suspension in disbelief. It certainly does not have the desired effect which is to make me remember where I got it so I can get more. I would highly suggest that they remove these. I didn't see mention of it in the item description or in the pics. Don't make me pay to advertise for you please. Overall it is a fair price for such a thing but you can walk into most sign shops with a royalty free image like I expect this is...and have it printed on similar material for roughly the same cost.

Didn't come with the cardboard tube it said it would :(
Listing said there would be a carboard tube to make transportation easier and safer for the mat, but i didn't get one. mine came in a plastic bag. This was a selling point for me because i will be traveling with it when i use it, so i am bummed it did not come as advertised. Not a huge deal, i will just have to come up with something else. The print is also pretty large, as others have pointed out, so minis look a little awkward on it, but it beats a plain wooden table.

Taking sessions to the next level.
This map was perfect for the session I was planning. so here is a bit of background. I started getting into dungeon crafting for my various gaming groups. I was planning to layout an abandoned village. After calling up the map form the module I realized that the battle map I had wasn't big enough. ( Yes i could have scaled down on the number of buildings i built but that wasn't the effect i was going for) I had been looking at these matts for a little while and decided to get one to fit this build. It was perfect. The only issue I had was laying the pathways between buildings. which i overcame with some tan painters masking tape. Wet erase markers do not work very well in terms they do not stand out against the color pallet of the image on the mat. but that is minor compared tot he affect the map added to the buildings. IT sold on the map the size isn't an issue as i routinely host groups of 5-8 players for a game. Im going to order the whole set for my table.

Not your typical game mat; The grass mat is much lower quality
It looks like a blown up low-resolution image where as the stone/cobblestone mat is more detailed. All the mats are printed on the same all-weather outdoor-banner material that you can get at any print shop; the type of material typically used for outdoor printed advertisements (i.e. you would see at a farmer's market). It is not your typical rubber game mat material that lays flat as you would expect. As a result, it also will roll up / bend on the table unless you have a way of putting weights to keep it flat.
