Huge improvement at little cost, but learn from my mistake
A couple of years ago I bought a beautiful home that was a bit of a fixer upper, not because it was run down, but because the previous owners had taken it upon themselves to add "improvements". One was cutting the bug seals away from the glass until they became useless. I never really gave it much thought, even though the house has spiders, until I saw a moth flutter in through a closed screen door. So I bought this for the upstairs. Holy smokes! I had no idea it would be so easy! If you are not sure if you should : a) buy this, b) call a handyman, or c) order a new screen, check your old stripping to see it if sits in a ridge in the screen and you can pry it out by wedging a screwdriver between the screen and the strip. If you can, skip the handyman. There is nothing simpler than this. But that's not to say foolproof. Here is my tale, which may explain some of the low reviews. I popped out the old one upstairs and put in the new one without cutting it. I simply pulled the old one out of the door, press the new one in to the slot, smoothed with my fingers until it was flat, then carefully trimmed off the excess length at the bottom. It worked like a dream! The black strip hung out more than I liked, so I figured I would order a new one for the downstairs and trim that one one notch. That was a mistake. I trimmed it one notch, which was super easy. I just cut along the line for one inch and then ripped it. Super simple. Then I installed it in the door. Oh dear. Cutting it was a mistake. You want too much and here is why. 1) These screen are never straight. While there is plenty at the top and bottom, in the middle, the edge I tore to fit is snug up against the glass. 2) When it is too snug against the glass and the frame, it sticks and bunches up when you open the door, causing the door to jam and the bug seal to pull right out of the track, unless you trim it away from the glass until bugs can get in, like the previous owners did... Trust me. You want that inch of flat black hanging over the glass and the frame. You will have no trouble if you leave it uncut. I've since replaced it and both work great. Oh, well. Lesson learned, for the price of a cup of coffee. Not bad considering the huge uptick in quality of life I am already experiencing.

Works perfect! Awesome customer service!
What is this used for? Sometimes, a patio door has a gap between the doorframe and the screen door where bugs can easily sneak through. This product is a rubber piece that slides into a track on your sliding door and has a flap to seal that gap. The piece that fits into the track on the sliding door has some ribs that compress to allow you to push it into the door and allow it to stay. It was a little tricky figuring out which size to get because I didn't know how much the ribs compressed. I contacted the manufacturer, and they recommended getting the size that is slightly *larger* than the width of my track (because the ribs compress). My track was 5/16 inch (0.3125 in), and I ordered the 0.350 in product. It fit like a charm! It easily inserted into the door. I was then able to cut it to length with scissors. I did not need to adjust the size of the flap, but it looks like you can easily tear part of the flap off to get it to size. See the attached photos in case you are confused how this product works. Note: the photo showing the flap out of the channel is just to demonstrate how the product installs--it easily fits back in.

Good product, but I had to return
I had to return because the size is little big and length is short. But the quality is good.

Excellent, with a little tweeking
Very easy to install, the only problem I had was that my very old screen door had a wider channel that wasn't holding this bug seal in. All I had to do was take some big pliers and pinched the metal sides together to make the channel a little more narrow. After that, it stayed in place after numerous test openings. I also really like that they included pre-marked lines to adjust the size of the flap width. I was able to put the seal in place, then I was able to eyeball how wide the flap should be (in my case, it was to the 1st line) and i was able to tear that off by hand. *UPDATE AFTER 1 YEAR* Still working well, maybe 1 or 2 times in the year, I had to adjust by sliding down. Otherwise perfect.

Rolled tight!
Great except it came rolled so tight the intended square grommet portion is deformed flat and the last 18” will not stay in the door. I’ve inserted a dowel hoping to reform it.

Try a different brand. Not impressed….
This may be my first Amazon review. Even when products aren’t great, I typically don’t bother. But, I felt I needed to write this to help others avoid it. The first half of this roll was just fine. The second half was useless as the gasket part that gets pushed into the door was so compressed that there is no way to make a solid seal. This brand new stuff falls out easier than the 23 year old stuff it replaced. The first half of the roll was great and I thought it would be a great replacement. But, it’s literally useless and not worth the trouble of returning. But, stay away!

Nice tight fit and keeps out the bugs
The original vinyl seal came apart after many years and needed to be replaced. This seal went right in and stays tight against the other door. I was thinking that I was going to have to cut it down somewhat and was surprised that it was exactly the proper size. Reason is that measuring needs to be done for the total width of the seal and not from the start of the insert. So measure from the surface to be sealed against clear out to the final edge of the seal channel in the door.

I am definitely happy that I found this product
I have 2 sliding screen doors in my house and until recently I didn't even know there was a such thing as a "bug seal" that fits on the vertical edge of a screen door that seals the gap between the door and the stationary glass door. I tried a few different ways to keep flies out prior to this knowledge that did not fair very well. When I came across this product and read the description it was a little confusing because it plainly states, "This seal helps prevent insects from crawling under your screen doors". I had to read some reviews and even asked a question before I realized this was what I desperately needed. Installation was as simple as pushing the seal into the groove of my sliding door and then, depending on the gap between the door and the glass, adjust the width by literally peeling the seal on one of the pre etched lines. Just make sure you don't cut the width too short or else bugs and flies will still be able to get through. After installing this seal it left no gap what so ever. There is no way that a bug, fly or anything else can squeeze through. I am definitely happy that I found this product, I just wish I had found it sooner. Also I almost paid more than twice of what I had to cause I almost ordered the Prime-Line Products B 716 Bug Seal. If you're only looking to put a seal between your glass door and screen door then get this, save yourself some money. Honestly I don't know what the other seal does that this doesn't. I posted some photos to help you see how and where this seal goes. Hope this helps out.

Perfect fit and function
This item was perfect and work well on my door. It was stiff at first but leaving it out in the hot sun made it very easy to work with. I trimmed certain parts so that it would fit perfectly the rest was awesome. I would highly recommend this item. Thankfully Amazon had it even though Canadian Tire Home Depot and Home Hardware had nothing like this whatsoever.

Did the job
Worked as required. Installed in the frame of a patio screen door to block the space between the screen and the glass door. Was a little wider than the opening but with some work I got it in the frame slot. Fit tight to the glass and kept out the bugs.

Does exactly as it indicates.
This product does exactly as it’s suppose to do. I had a gap in my patio screen and mosquitoes would come in. Since installing (which was a breeze) we’ve had no issues. Thanks -great product!

Adjustable but Not Very Durable
The Prime-Line B 705 fits a range of widths (3/4 in. to 1-3/8 in.), which makes it versatile for different sliding doors or windows. However, I found the build quality lacking—it felt flimsy and didn’t hold up well under regular use. The adjustment mechanism is functional but not smooth, and it can be tricky to get a secure fit. It might work for light-duty applications, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anything requiring long-term durability.
