The sticks are not uniform in size, but most are about 6 inches long and fairly thin (sticks are not round, but a good estimate of the diameter is 3/8 to 1/2 inch). They are our dog's favorite chew stick.

Are these made in the USA?

I mistakenly thought they were made in the USA. I looked up on the red barn website and, while I can't find the twist variation, all other bullies show the following: "Country of Origin: Paraguay (Redbarn- owned and operated plant)". While its better than China, I don't think I'll be ordering these again, as I worry about what's being used in other places...

Do these have anything unhealthy in them or the cows from which they were derived (preservatives, antibiotics, and/or hormones)?

I have no idea about the cows, however, they seem to be fine....my dog loves them.
