A very decent trolling reel that does what is is expected to do. It is definitely not a Shimano, but the price is not either. Like other buyers, I have my reservations regarding the plastic line guide. I suspect it will not last with time. Too bad this reel has one speed only, definitely a fast one, which is convenient when you reel in your line without fish or with a small one. More difficult when you catch a big fish. But, as we all know, this does not happen that often, unfortunately... So at this stage, I recommend this product. Let's see with time

I bought this for large striped bass, hybrid Wiper and catfish. I own a chaos xs series reel and two different piscifun baitcasters. I pulled this reel apart right out of the box and oiled all the parts, spooled it up and mounted it on a rod. The lever drag is easy but crisp to run. The action is so smooth, the bait clicker is loud and easy to use. I know it's a trolling reel but I lined it with 20lb fluorocarbon and 2oz of weight and it casts like a dream. A small half hearted test cast in my yard and I had to stop it from hitting my brick wall probably 60 feet away. Highly recommend this company and this product!

I had a Shimano Tekota A 600 before. Only used for one year. The plastic gears inside are all gone bad. Only two bearings inside! This 7 bearings Piscifun Salis X 3000 is much smoother. My friend has it for 6 months still working great!

The Salis X is a beautiful beast! The 5000 is shown here next to my Chaos XS 50...Reel is smooth as can be. I know that it is not a *Casting Reel* it is a *trolling reel* but I just had to try it out..I spooled it with 80lb black Lunker Braid..It held the entire 547yrd spool. I mounted it on an 8' Heavy action RL SuperCat..I had my normal 3oz lead and cut bait rig on and let it fly.. To my pleasent surprise it was a perfect 75 yes cast..Of course, being an unexsperienced Baitcaster I wadded up the next cast, popped the 80lb braid and slung the rig and bait across the lake 😱.. This is waay more reel than I will probably ever need,but I just had to have one.. Someday I hope to put it to the deep water big fish test.. If I had gotten the 3000, most definitely I would put in my regular, bank fishing Catfish rigs. PISCIFUN ROCKS!

Used it for a long weekend fishing trip was fishing down to 1200 ft with 5lbs weights and preformed perfectly. No issues whatsoever
