The items included in this package really lend themselves to a high quality installation. The photos I have attached will display the obvious things, but what I would like to point out in particular are the Static Windshield Film patches that are included. At first I did not quite understand what they were for, because this product was unfamiliar to me and the instructions could have been written a little better, but basically, these patches get attached to the clean windshield and then the 3M stick pad, attached to the cameras, are stuck to the static patch. This is brilliant, because it allows the camera to be removed and relocated. While I would not recommend doing this to often, as it may reduce the effectiveness of the static patch, it does allow you to tweak things. What a great idea! An extra set of 3M adhesive pads are included. The camera itself appears to be constructed very well. I have had other dash cameras in the past, and the VIOFO 139 definitely trumps the quality of those. In particular, the connections for rear and inside camera are very precise and have definite “click” when they are connected. The cable included in the kit has been updated from the previous VIOFO dash cameras, and it is smaller in diameter. I found it very easy to tuck it away, inside the moulding of my car. The trim removal tool included in the kit was very helpful. It took me about 2 hours for the complete installation. I took my time, and the end result looks very clean. The camera and main housing themselves are wedge shaped. This allowed me to tuck it up, under my rearview mirror. It is out of sight, yet assessable should I need to get to it. The lens itself rotates up and down for any angled windshield. My car is a 6 series BMW, and it fits great. Since there is no display on the camera itself, the app, available through the App Store or Google Play store, provides most of the interaction with the camera via its own Wifi. I prefer using the app over fiddling with the camera, as it is tucked out of the way. The settings tab in the app has numerous settings/configurations, some of which I used, other that were of little interest to me at this point. Those folks who love to mix things up would probably dive into the options more than I did. Notable configurations are: 1) You are able to flip the camera view. This allowed me to really find the best location during installation for the rear and interior cameras (cable access from either side). 2) Screen Shot-take a photo from one of the recordings. 3) Turning off sounds when pushing buttons on camera or turning camera on. 4) Turn off the audio when the camera is recording. In the event of an incident, I really don’t need the camera to record what I have to say (probably would work against me). Overall, the app has functioned very well. There have been a few times where it would disconnect from the camera, but I was easily able to re-acquire it. So far I have recorded a couple of hours of video. I purchased a high quality 128 GB Micro SD card. Rather than use my iPhone to view and download the videos, I have used my iPad. The video quality is stunning. Both my son and wife are amazed. Like I said earlier in this review. The quality of this camera verses lesser dash cameras, is stunning. There are several accessories available for this camera, which you can find on the VIOFO product site. In particular, I would like to get the Hardwire Kit (HK3-C). This allows the camera to operate even when the vehicle is turned off, getting power to the camera via the fusebox of the car. If your cigarette lighter plug is always powered, then this is not an issue for you. Mine turns off after a preset period after turning off the car. This kit is currently unavailable through Amazon. I hope it becomes available. Having this camera gives me peace of mind. I know that in the event of an incident, I will be well protected. As I become more accustomed to this camera, I will update this review as needed. I highly recommend this dash camera system.

Hi, I've been a bit of a VIOFO fanboy for some time now and really wanted to do a review on their latest product, the A139. I switched to VIOFO several years ago and I have never had an issue with their equipment. I have the A119S, A119v3 (latest in this series), the A129 Duo and just purchased the A139 3channel. So I have a lot of experience with their products. This review will be on the A139 3ch, their latest system and even though I have a lot of their stuff I will remain unbiased. So lets begin! Packaging of all of their units is pretty straight forward and polished. All items needed for installation are included in the box (even a pry tool for trim removal). The only thing missing in this model that they include in others are the 5 wire clips. Luckily I had some left over from a previous installation. It includes an actual manual that is in perfect English and easy to read (no micro print). It shows detailed pictures and defines each of the settings that the camera is capable of. All of their systems have options so when purchasing make sure you read the description of those to see if you want them. This system came with the CPL filter for polarization. IMHO this is a must and shouldn't be an option in any of the cameras they sell. It greatly cuts down on sun glare and I was happy to see that it is standard in this edition. The system does not come with a microSD card. It does support up to 256GB and I solely use the Samsung Pro Endurance models that are made for these types of devices. The front facing camera has the Sony IMX335 5mp sensor while the two other cameras have the Sony Starvis IMX291 sensor. This gives you 2k video out the front and 1080p for the interior and rear. 1080P is ok however, I would like to see the same Sony 5mp sensor used for the rear camera but that's just me and may be a limitation to the recording processor in the unit due to 3ch recording. Even the A129 Pro Duo which has 4k front sensor recording still has the 1080p rear. If someone rear-ends you then they will be close so hopefully it will adequately record their tag number. All of these systems video quality is superb during the day, the real deal is at night. Night time video still produces adequate footage however, tags and intricate detail become washed out at distances. Adding motion will also blur these. Closer view are still good though. I will include some day and night pictures and footage but remember that Amazon compresses the videos somewhat so the quality will not be as good as the original footage. Installation is pretty easy as well. Just figure where you want to mount the cameras and do a dry fit of cables for length to make sure everything will fit and reach where the final installation takes place. I like to install the main unit behind my rear view mirror on the passenger side of it so as not to distract me. When mounting the unit and cameras, clean the glass with alcohol patches first and make sure temp is above 60F for proper adhesion. I use 3M Dual Lock myself, it makes it easy to remove the units and locks tight when in use. Google it you'll love it. I installed this one in my 2020 Jeep Wrangler. All wiring was long enough and I ran into no issues. I had a long explanation and a gripe on the camera wire connector attachments but then I realized I was not pushing hard enough. This connectors needs a firm push until it snaps with the knurled barrel becoming flush with casing. The new cables that they use to connect the cameras are thin, durable and easily fished through the trim molding to their final destination. One recommendation I have for the company is to make the camera that shows the interior able to turn towards the drivers side window to capture interactions with police or others. This could also be easily achieved by having a small stiff hinge on the mount that allows you to turn the camera 90 degrees towards the drivers window and a magnet built in to keep it in place for normal interior recording, just a thought. This unit does not have a LCD screen and all video is previewed via wireless connection to your cell phone and their app. Touching on that, they support both 2ghz and 5ghz Wi-Fi and I found the app easy to install, sync and navigate. With the unit powered in my vehicle in the driveway I can access the cameras and video from inside my residence. I like this for those bumps in the night and wanting to check those cameras. I also see on this model that they have finally went to USB-C connections! Although my other units did not have any issues with the older style USB connectors I like the newer connections for durability and data transfer speeds. All of my units have the GPS logging capability. I found that the speeds where correct and like the ability to have this as an overlay and turn it on or off. Both KPH and MPH are available as well. All units record sound and this too can be turned off or on. This unit has the option of an external microphone as well. I don't utilize this feature but it could be useful in the right situation. They have another option of the Bluetooth button that you can mount anywhere in your vehicle and when pressed it will start recording and create a protected event. I wish it came with this standard as I really see this as a positive for certain situations as well. A panic recording switch if you will. I used a 256GB card in my unit. The card needs to be formatted in FAT32. This can be accomplished through the app or by using the include card to USB adapter and your computer. A note in the directions says to make sure the unit is off before removing and installing the SD card so that it does not become corrupted. The camera uses a decent amount of power to run. The cigarette adapter shows 12v 3A so definitely need to make sure its off when the vehicle is off or utilize a separate battery system for powering when the vehicle is off. They make a wiring harness for this the HK3-C hardwire kit however, I don't know what kind of strain this would case on the vehicles battery while not running. Navigating the menus and setting up the app was easy. Remember that the initial process is to hold the WiFi button until the blue light is on and the voice says “WiFi on” as well. Then go to your wireless settings and join the one for Viofoxxxx. The default password is 12345678 and can be changed along with the SSID being broadcast. Once connected start the app and you will be good to go. Mine did not need much tweaking from factory defaults. I did set my resolutions to the max and turned on WDR. This stands for Wide Dynamic Range and is used for glare and to make dark and light scenes show more equal. For instance, going through a tunnel and the light at then end doesn't wash out the picture as you approach and the camera iris hasn't adjusted yet. Once logged in you are presented with a screen that shows all three camera views live. I really like this and wish that the camera offered this feature when saving the video off and playing it back. Currently it saves each camera as a separate video file and you would have to use a third party video software to piece them all together for simultaneous playback. Not a deal breaker for me just another thought for the company to incorporate. Maybe a firmware update? So in closing I think they have another great product here. This system would be especially useful for Uber/Lyft drivers or Vloggers or anyone wanting a polished well thought out system that's easy to install and should last the owner a long time. I forgot to mention that it has super capacitors for storing the last video clips if it the power goes out. These are a must and I can't believe some companies are still putting batteries in them. They get hot on your windshield and the batteries will swell and destroy the system eventually. None of that happens with VIOFO units because they use the super capacitors instead. A final note, the unit comes with a 12 month warranty and you get an additional 6 months if you register the product on their website. I have had great feedback and quick responses when dealing with their support as well. If you got this far then please take a minute and look at the video I included along with pictures. I don't think you will be disappointed with this system, I love mine.

This was a great system. It has enough length on the cables to get the cameras where you need them in most cars connects to the phone with WiFi very easy and viewing live video is easy. It is fairly easy to look at old footage also, one thing I don’t like is the fact that protected clips are not able to be deleted unless you format the sd card. Also if you go over a bump the camera will perceive that as a collision and save the clip. There are three settings you can assign to it low medium and high the problem is if the roads are bad the camera will constantly be saving the clips and if you have the beep sounds on it will sound like the camera is malfunctioning. I had to turn off the beep but I have not looked to see if I need to format the card again as it filled with saved files.

Update no longer working. No response what so ever from the supposed support team x 4 months now. I changed to 5 g now the phone thing says wifi connected but will not display anything. The phone just shows it as not connected. 1 start because it's supposed to have a warranty but of course if they don't respond to you they don't have to replace it right? Waste of 200 + dollars First off a handful of these reviews I see about the camera tape coming off of the window doesn't seem correct. The camera comes with 3M tape on it which is gray and has the red sticker on the back. It is a good quality tape and temperatures have reached near 100 degrees where I have been and this camera has not fallen off my window and direct sun for the whole day. It also comes with extra pieces of this tape for each camera. There should have been no reason that anybody was waiting for for something like this as it is only about $8 at the hardware store for a whole roll. Do not use the window screen or clear sticker film that is provided in the kit. Just use a wet paper towel to clean your window, then use a dry paper towel to dry your window. Then stick the camera directly to your window. You won't have any issues if you doubt use the film and do not use any soap or chemicals. Second thing I would have to say is the Wi-Fi feature is for viewing and downloading the videos only. If this camera we're broadcasting a Wi-Fi signal continuously then it would easily be able to be hacked if somebody wanted to walk up next to your car and it was broadcasting a Wi-Fi signal. I believe the Wi-Fi is a safety feature which is good because you shouldn't need to watch the video all the time. If you'd like a camera where you can access the video all the time you should invest in a blink camera system or something where you can put the camera inside of your car and look at it all there time. Another thing to add is the Wi-Fi stays on as long as you are looking at the camera. I never had an issue so far I just hold the button down for about 3 seconds and it turns the Wi-Fi on or off. Third thing I would say is the wires are nice and Tiny for running the rear camera. And the internal camera. They are easily tucked up under the trim and it only took me about 30 minutes with a 17 foot vehicle. Lastly if you read the description ......the motion detection and featuers ONLY work while you have this hard wired. They will not work if you are only using the 12 volt. The camera sensors receive different electric Supply when they are running on the accessory opposed to having the car running and that's what sends it int motion sensing mode. The reviews that say that this feature does not work probably we're trying to use it with a 12-volt car plug only. You can get the hardwire kit for 1399 here on Amazon. It literally takes about 10 minutes to install this in your car. Just search how to videos... I would post a link on here but Amazon would remove it. So the issues I have had so far is I change the Wi-Fi name which was fine but then I tried to change the default password and I was locked out of the camera. I had to exchange it for a new one as the company's solution was updating the firmware and that was not able to be done because I was not able to log in and access the camera. Also I have noticed that the camera does seem to get really hot when plugged into 12 volt. Then it cools back and then gets hot again. Not sure what that's about. Also when I tried to plug the camera directly into my computer to update the firmware it sent my computer into safe mode and said that the plug-in was not compatible so beware if you do try to do that you'll need to restore your computer to an earlier time. I'm not sure what that is about.....LOL so the this camera has a a few Kinks to work through....buuuuut if you are patient and a little tech-savvy you'll have a nice camera. Some helpful information if you are installing this camera and it continuously beeps... it's not recording. You need to First make sure that you have a memory card that is a 10 or higher. You cannot just put in a scan disk or pioneer micro SD card it will not work. I had this issue the camera beep and beep and beept and I couldn't figure it out until I got a higher grade SD card. Also it WILL go into parking mode after about 1 minute if it senses your car is not moving. I'll upload videos later just wanted to get my 2 cents in as this is a nice camera hopefully it works well. It also comes with lifetime tech support and 1 year manufacturer warranty.

Got this camera for my 2021 hyundai elantra N-line to try to get as much camera coverage as much as possible just in case someone scratch my new car and I can know exactly who's done it (I also got the hardwire kit aswell). I've had it for a few days so here's my thoughts on this: Pros: It's a 3 channel dashcam. The Viofo app works great. The coaxial cables are much thinner. USB-C plug and nothing proprietary. It has WiFi!! Download speeds is phenomenal (I am using the 5G connection and you'll manually have to turn it on in the settings using the app). Camera quality in the front is great. Cons: The main dashcam can get hot but not very hot. Color reproduction in the cabin is okay. My sweater was purple-ish even though it's black. Rear dashcam quality is not that good. It's even worse if you have tinted windows as I have 15% tint. But, it still does the job. Just awful at night. You can change the exposure in the app settings but things get more washed out. No screen. I'm used to cams with screens so this one may take time getting used to. You can view live footage from the app including all your videos stored on the SD card. No 4K. I do have a feeling they'll release a 4K version and you may think that there's no different between 1080p, 1440p, and 2160p. Trust me I've had multiple dashcams and they all make a difference! Future wishes: 4K front and 2K rear with either 1080p or 2K cabin modular cams Meaning that if Viofo ever release a new version, you can just buy 4K front main unit without having to by a new set and dealing with taking apart the old set you have and doing a whole new installation job. That's an example. The coaxial cables screams modularity in the future but I could be wrong but we can only hope. Though this will definitely add more heat but a cooling fan can fix that. Dual SD card slots and have the ability to raid it meaning that the dashcam will see it as one and split the data into 2 thus improving write speeds while also relieving too much stress on a single micro SD card. The ability to support a 1 Terabyte MicroSD card. The Ability to support USBs. The ability to connect to your home wifi and or an active mobile hotspot in your car and receive notifications while you're away. Improve the app's UI That's all I have in mind. Stay safe out there on the road from insurance scammers, etc. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to get the hardwire kit and when you do, go to settings and turn it on and choose your desired option because if you install the hardwire kit and you turn off your vehicle and the dashcam shuts off, that will tell you that you haven't turned on an parking mode feature. When you turn off your vehicle, the dashcam will say, "parking recording started" er something like that. Protect your vehicles at all cost.

This is a beautiful camera, good POV, good resolution, adjustable in all manner of ways, easy to install. The problems i have been having are minor in technicality but as a whole concept wort of break the camera for me: the sticky pads are USELESS, Ill have to add some CA glue to get that to stick properly. There is a threaded mount plate outlined in the instructions but nowhere else, I can not find any other reference to a hardware mounting kit for the front camera. The cables are great and easy to install, a headache with some of the bigger usb connections, but they seem to disconnect ever few minutes. In a routine 15 minute drive I had 13 camera disconnects and reconnects; I havent traced the problem to anything in particular. The secondary concern is the feature called WIFI Station wherein the camera will connect to an existing access point instead of hosting on of its own to share media; under no circumstances and an hour and a half of frustrated trying was I able to achieve this task. The instructions are clear but my camera refuses to play. I do love its simplicity and virtual out-of-sightedness but wish it were more for what I paid for. I can fix the cameras falling off my windshield every 9 minutes but the wifi station is a disappointment.

I purchased this dash camera for rideshare and traffic purposes [not necessarily for it's parking surveillance, so i have no review for that aspect], and it has thoroughly satisfied my requirements. DESIGN - The sleek design of main unit and its ancillary cameras allow for a comfortably discreet setup that is hidden in plain sight. FUNCTIONALITY - The button and light layout on the main unit are simple, quick, concise, and 100% efficient, especially because there is no onboard screen. The optional voice confirmations help to ease my trust in knowing the unit is working without me needing to view the feed. VISUAL - I like the fact that it doesnt have an onboard screen, because they are usually in a less convenient spot. Even better, it gives the user two viable options to view with an accessory screen, 1) AV connection, 2) a customisable wifi broadcasting network connection. 1) With an AV connection, I could purchase a separate dislay screen. 2) With the wifi connection, I could use my cellular devicce. The wifi option is focused securely broadcasting the feed to a connected device thru its own closed local network not connected to the internet, whereas other wifi-enabled dashcams are focused on allowing devices to connect to it thru an existing network broadcasted on the internet, which is less secure. CONTROL - There is an inconvenience to each option in regards to view and control 1) With an AV connection, I may only be able to view the feed thru the display screen, but i might not be able to control the dashcam unless i purchase a more expensive display. 2) With the wifi connection, I am guaranteed full view full control the dashcam from my cellular via their app, but because the feed is broadcasted to the unit's own private wifi network, I would be disconnected from the internet on my cellular device. It does allow you to regain your cellular service from the app's main menu, choosing "Open VPN", but it may be a bit buggy if you switch between apps. I found that opening the app in split view, or even pop-up view on my android allows the connection to remain uninterrupted while still being able ro use another app. The alternative to this procedure would be to just use the app on a separate device, like a tablet, laptop, or another cellular, so that I could freely use my primary phone at will, while still being able to view and control the camera feeds uninterrupted. I decided to repurpose one of my older phones for this. A pro to this idea is I can view each camera's feed separately or together, while the unit simultaneously records all three feeds. The only possible con to this idea is that i cannot lock a video file from deletion thru the app, i must manually press the lock button on the unit, which isnt too much of a hassle at all. QUALITY - The onboard mic is satisfactory given the unit's placement. The video quality is clear and detailed, although in a lot of cases there is an issue with the heatlines in the rear windshield. Maybe an external camera might solve this problem, but then there would be an issue of exposure to the elements that could affect its clarity or functionality, so I'm not going to complain there. FILES - Apparently the unit records the feed from each camera and saves them separately! This is great because I can pinpoint the exact view i need without the hassle of the other feeds onstructing my replay. Most cameras record the multiple views separately, but compile them into the same file. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND 👍🏾

The cam stop working and it keep restarting without recording This started two days ago Please assist ?

I love this dash cam, I recently had an accident where a woman hit the back of my car while I saw in line for Costco Gaz and I have all the footage! I like the fact it was clear. Small changes I would like to see in the future that would make me upgrade to a new one and make Viofo the KINGS of dashcams : - Being able to plug the SD card away from the main unit. I mean to be able to put the SD card in the front or rear dashcam or even having an extension cable that you can hide that contains the micro SD Card. No compagnies does this and it would allow the have more chance to get footage of a thief stealing thing in your car. It happend to me and they stole my main dashcam with the sd card in it. - Change the compression algorthim for something that doesn't have a big file size because 3 way cameras with a 256 gb micro sd card doesn't seem enough, I can have max 1-2 months of footage because I have parking mode enable. Eufy surveillance cam has an algo that make their video file size REALLY small. A "quick" fix for my issue is the make like a 512gb or 1tb sd card compatible. - Being able to download the footage without being forced to stay in the app. - Monitoring the camera temperature because in summer it becomes really hot and if you have parking mode enable, I can almost overheat and damage the dashcam components. - A function that allows to have a parking mode without hardwiring the camera. What I mean is like 2 usb type-c ports. One connected to a normal USB of the car and another one connected to a powerbank. Every time there is no electricty coming from the car USB, the power gives electricty to the dashcam and put it in parking mode.

For Uber drivers a139 is totally garbage it have SD card issues and hard to update firmware and most importantly it becomes super hot during summer time drive. my camera beeping all the time i did everything still im suffering. i cant send it back or exchange my a139 so in total 470 dollar have been wasted. not sure which 3 channel camera is best in overall. i hate VIOFO brand next time i will never buy any dashcam from it, iv been through nightmares with this brand. guys if you know any 3 channel dashcam which is much better than VIOFO T130 and A139 so please let me know.

Control button seems hard to use after few months. I can easily access the wifi function and download video from first month. Now, even wifi very hard to turn on, like : button not work or even it works and suddenly corrupt in the middle. So literally, I only can copy video from sd card manually, and pray for the camera still working by them shelves as the lights ON.
