I have a Galaxy Tab7 so I would think so. This is a fantastic keyboard as I can type faster than touching the screen.

It is quiet, and much more responsive (and accurate) than the last blu-tooth keyboard I had

Can the cover fold back behind the tablet so it can be held instead of used on a table?

Yes the cover will fold around so the tablet can be used without it being removed, however the keyboard I would remove the keyboard (only magnetically held) as not to damage or lose it depending on circumstances used

Does this keyboard need a usb receiver plugged into the tablet?

No, the keyboard is bluetooth. Just turn the power on and push the connection button. Worked first time for me.
