If there was a 10 star option, I would select it. I love this board. I collect high quality wood board games and this one is truly outstanding! There are magnets in the board and base that allow you to turn the face of the board but then lock in once it’s turned. I am critical of expensive things. I believe if you are going to charge a premium fee, you need to deliver a premium product and this game board delivers! I cannot think of a single thing the could improve. I love it. My kids love it. I leave it out because it is so beautiful to look at and functional to play with. It’s awesome!

I've been meaning to get a nice Scrabble set for quite some time. I've played on the older "vanilla" Scrabble boards. They do the job, but sometimes I just want something nicer. A conversation piece, if you will. When I received this Scrabble game in the mail, I was excited. I spoke with some family and we decided to put it to use that very same night. I must say, it was every bit as good as I'd hoped it would be. The Luxury faux-ivory tiles sound great and are easy to shuffle in the bag. They look good on the beautiful wooden board. I've had no issues with the golden grid on top of the board, either. The entire set looks very classy and elegant. I've had no durability issues, either. I'm able to play with confidence, as the entire set appears to be solid and well-made. I hate playing board games where I'm afraid if I place a piece too hard it will break or crack something. This game is not flimsy like that at all. The turning board is a nice touch, as well. If you are playing with 3 or 4 people, each person can see the board upright during their turn. It makes the game of Scrabble even more fun and relaxing. All in all, I'm more than pleased with this purchase. Thanks to this edition, I no longer need to worry about upgrading to a "better" Scrabble set in the future.

As avid Scrabble players, we evaluated several "luxury" sets, but found all but this one wanting. It is well made, well designed, and a joy to use. We replaced the tile bag with one we had (the bag that comes with the set is too shallow), but other than that, the set is fine. No, it's not very portable, and it is expensive, but for players who play a lot, this set is the way to go. The glass set, which we had for a while, has tiles whose letters rub off over time, and the other luxury sets, while copies of this one, are poorly constructed of cheap wood. If you can afford this set, and you play Scrabble more than occasionally, buy it.

This is a really nice Scrabble set. The wood is a more uniform (and lighter) color than shown in the product listing but very well done. The top rotates so each player can have the board oriented properly when it's their turn. The tiles are held in place with a discreet grid system to you can't easily trash a game in progress. And a nice drawer stores all of the pieces so nothing gets lost. Even the little holders for your tiles have a sharp looking brash finish. My wife is a Scrabble addict and this was her birthday present. It looks nice enough that we leave it out on the coffee table as a conversation piece. It's quite a step up from our old cardboard box version of the game held together with masking tape. Highly recommended as a gift if you know someone who really likes the game.

Slightly disappointed in the craftsmanship. The board itself is VERY beautiful, I love the wood and the finish is flawless. I'm just a bit disappointed in the playing surface itself. The grid is made of a very cheap plastic and I fear with crack over time. Additionally, the slots are substantially bigger than the letters and often move around and out of their slot while spinning the board. Finally, the game pieces are unfortunately rather cheap, compared to the 50th anniversary set. I bought this as a wedding gift for my bride and played the day after our wedding on July 4, 2026 and some of the ink in the letters are already fading. One last thing - this set does not come with a book of words. I thought that was very odd. For what you pay, it's a very nice set however again, for what you pay - it could've been much nicer.

We wanted a Scrabble board that would be nice enough that we could leave out in the living room permanently for our guests to play on if they wished. This one was a good compromise versus a $600 handmade one from Etsy. It looks very nice, though upon closer inspection, it's made of typical Chinese factory type of composite materials. So, all in all, a little pricey for what you get, but still worth it.

After 11 years of playing nightly play on the Onyx edition board, this game is a significant upgrade and pleasure to play. The thing I like the best about this edition is the tiles that are faux ivory. They beat the pants off of the wooden letters that peel and fade. With our last Scrabble game we had to replace the tiles multiple times because they did not hold up. The storage drawer is nice also to keep everything you need out of site. The rotating board is removable for cleaning. The faux letter bag is also better than the typical fabric bag that shows dust and lint. This game is more like a piece of fine furniture. We are very happy with it and look forward to many years of game play.

As a couple, we invested in this as a hopeful family heirloom. We wanted something sturdy and well made. This was a worth wild investment! I (the wife) have personally hauled this sucker to lounges to play with some friends over drinks, as well as at home with the family for bonding. My 8 year old loves it for the new words she's learning while she plays. We love that each square has its own 4 walls to keep the pieces in place. The score keeping book, 4 gold letter holders and pleather bag for the marble-like letters, are excellent quality. Would highly recommend

It serves quite nicely as either a display piece or to play a game with guests. The scrabble board is very well built and durable, also charming to look at! The best part is the grooves for the letters and the turn table! It's heavy, but that's when you know it's not cheaply made. Overall very impressed!
