THIS REVIEW IS ONLY ABOUT THE BRUSHES
These brushes are very handy when I wish to give something a very, very light coating of oil. I usually use them several times between washing them - I just retract the "bristles (soft cotton fibers) as far as possible and keep one brush per zipper snack sized bag in the door of my refrigerator. I use one for vegetable oil and one for EV pure olive oil.

Very useful kitchen tool!
These don't last forever (they need to be replaced after maybe... 6 months?) but, for me, they are a very useful tool! I use them for oiling muffin tins, omelet pans, everything! Also good if you don't want to use too much oil. You can wash them one or two times and air-dry. But when bits of string start to come off, it's time to go.

handy for oiling kitchen knives
the brush sits in a bit of camellia oil in a ceramic toothpick holder next to my knife block. carbon steel knives get a swipe of oil on the blade after every washing to prevent rust. sometimes i brush the wood handles, too. the camellia oil is pure, and the container is small, so the oil doesn't get rancid and stays debris free. a small purpose, but perfect for what it is.

Good for takoyaki
I decided to make takoyaki (octopus balls) and bought a special pan, but it needs to be well greased or you will end up with a complete mess, so I use this brushes to oil my hot pan. They are made of cheap plastic but it is a good gadget, the problem is washing all the oil out, but anyway I threw them away after a couple of uses and now I use a paper napkin and two chop sticks to grease my pan.
