NICREW Clip-on Planted Aquarium Light for Fish Tank

Perfect! I love that I can set when it comes on and of. I love that it gradually comes on and goes off, just like the sun. I love that I can determine how much red/blue and white light is used. I love that it stays in the memory even if the power goes out for hours. I'm really half with this purchase. The only thing I am not loving is the way it attaches to the glass, but it's a minor dislike, nothing that would prevent me from recommending it. My plants are doing great under it as well

This little light was exactly what I was looking for. It's been running great for a few months now, so I wanted to review it. I have it on an aqueon 6 gallon frameless cube, and for those dimensions (about 12") it's perfect. Plants are growing great, not too much light as to cause algae outbreak. I have some floating plants that diffuse it a bit. I run it on 100% for most of the day. The controller was easy to program following the included instructions. I love the sunrise and sunset feature. No timer needed was my big purchasing factor. You can't beat the price on this for what it does. If you have a planted nano tank, this is what you want! I'll be getting a second for my next tank. I run a nicrew filter on this as well and it works great!

I have been using the NICREW Aquarium Clip-on Light for over a week now and am very impressed with it. The light is very bright for its compact size and is able to illuminate a pretty large aquarium. It easily attached to the side of my aquarium and took all of a minute to install. The two modes are great and the location of the built-in controller is especially handy. Overall, the light is bright, simple, and effective. I am very happy with it and would recommend the product to anyone searching for a new aquarium light. Also, NICREW has SPECTACULAR customer service, with helpful and kind representatives.

Really surprised with the adjustability of the timer settings and the light output for both types of leds. Hard to beat for the money. Definitely recommend this light. ***Update one month in, finding the light will shut off and turn on during the day and also flickers. Now I'm questioning the quality of the light.

It's very bright, has the right spectrum for plants and you could probably use this on even a 10 gallon with no problem. I have this on a 3 gallon halfmoon tank at the moment. The size of lit up part is 5.25 inches long and 1.75 inches wide but overall sticks out 8.5 inches long and 2.25 inches wide. Make sure you have a clearance of 4.5 inches above your tank. The inline timer has a ramp up and ramp down but there's no brightness adjustment. I used black electrical tape to tape off some of the LEDs, the black electrical tape is the same color as the body of the light so you can't even tell it's there. The angle it sits at isn't my favorite, it's tilted slightly up and not adjustable. It's not a problem for me though since there's no glare. It was easy to put together and looks like it was made for my tank. In terms of quality it seems well put together and I'm not worried. I have other lights from Nicrew, including one on my reef tank for almost 1 year so I trust this brand. (You can see that light in the background of the 2nd photo.)

The display would not light up nor could you turn the lamp on when hooked up correctly. The box appeared to have been opened. It said new on the box but this obviously wasnt. The replacement came in a printed box instead of a plain white one. It works great and is very easy to program. I am now very pleased and would recommend this light to anyone.

- Brightness is good for a 5.5 gallon. I haven't had it long enough yet to observe plant or algae growth. - Clip seems sturdy, but it is a fixed alignment with no adjustment. - When mounted lengthwise on a rectangular tank, the light bar does not span the whole length of the tank, nor is it in the middle, so there's more light on the side under the light than the other. - The light is not horizontal. So it throws a lot of light outside one side of the aquarium. - If you sit near it, make sure it is below your eye level or else the bulbs will be in your peripheral vision. - The back of the light gets pretty hot. A well ventilated location seems necessary. Timer The clock and settings reset on loss of power. So I can't rely on it. Further, I could set the time but couldn't set the on/off schedule. So I plugged it into my timer plug. When my plug switches on, the light takes a minute to turn on. If you want a light with a reliable built in timer, this is not for you. If you want to control brightness and/or color, this is not easy. If your tank is bigger than 5 or 10 gallons and rectangular, this won't do.

Have had this light for some time now on my 6gal Cube Aquarium. Has kept my plants looking great, healthy, and growing. Very pleased with this nano light worth every penny.

Good quality love it

I got a betta fish recently and a pre-owned aquarium - 3.5gallon. It came with a tiny LED light that was also half broken and only on and off for white and blue light. I was looking for one with a automatic sunrise-sunset timer at a reasonable price that would be suitable for this size of a tank. After days of research on both USA and Canadian Amazon - this came out to be by far the best value and functionality. It does the timer, it has a manual mode and you can set the brightness for each mode - it's absolutely fantastic product! The small tank I have only needs 5% intensity for the blue light at night and only about 10% for the daytime - so it has a huge potential. No live plants here so it doesn't have to be so bright. I will post some photos and update after some time of use. I recommend this to others for small tanks of the 3.5-5 gallons depending on their shape as it's narrow.

Excellent produit et il est possible d’ajuster l’éclairage et de mettre un programme. Utilisé sur mon aquarium Fluval. Je n’ai plus de problème d’algues.
