Replaced unit and had the steps working for a couple of days before storing unit for winter. Worked well so far. Appears to be a well made product.

There are 2 versions of this motor. The first one I ordered was not even close even tho it was suppose to be the same.The second one was better but still not perfect. I had to cut to connector off the input side and solder it directly to the wires from the motor home. It works perfectly now.If the steps are older than 1999 they will be Pre-IMGL so order accordingly.Be very careful to not lay under the steps when you replace the motor. They can extend down and you could get smashed. I was just fast enough to get out of the way but it was really close.

Received the part and put it on within an hour of getting it. Fell into place with no mods. You should definitely lube all the moving part prior to installing the motor. I used “Fluid Film” Amazon # FLUIAS11. You can use others chain and cable lubes, but I’ve just been using this stuff for years and it holds up very well in the elements. I also used about a table spoonful of white lithium grease inside the gearbox when I mounted the motor. There was a little grease in the gearbox, but I added more. I had to run the steps in and out several times to get a smooth operation. This part was more than what I wanted to spend, but we needed it before our trip and didn’t feel like searching around for a better price.

This is a great replacement however all it is is a wiper motor for way more than double the cost. I needed it, so I bought it. My stairs work again which is what really mattered.
