Can you remove the weight?

No the weight is simulated by beads that are sewn in and unable to be removed

Is this machine washable?

Hi! No, we recommend you spot clean the surface only.

Does the weight if this actually make a difference for anyones anxiety ?

Everyones different so I don't expect it to work for everyone, but my partner sleeps with it every night, she said the weight helps, of course it's not a full body pillow but for her it does the job
