Granite Gold Granite Sealer for Natural Stone, 24 oz Spray

This stuff is great! First of all, the spray bottle actually works. It leaves a nice mist on the counters and hasn't failed on me yet. The actual product works well too, it doesn't leave a nasty sticky or filmy residue like a lot of other products. It makes my granite look nice and shiny and pretty and actually helps at preventing stains a bit. I have definitely noticed I don't have to "deep clean" the granite quite as often as I used to! I will definitely be buying again.

This is my first experience with Granite Gold, as I am a long-time Wieman products user. However, Granite Gold has garnered some great reviews so I gave it a try—I have the sealer, polish, and daily cleaner. This is the sealer review: Pros: -Very easy to use. Just spray on a 3-foot section, wipe into the countertop, then buff. I used two soft cloths: one to apply, and one to buff. Do this quickly as you do not want the sealer to dry on the surface or it will dull the countertop, which is why application is in smaller sections. After I did this, I also thoroughly buffed over the entire countertop with an old soft t-shirt. -Water-based so it’s not messy -Dries fast (again, be sure to buff off quickly so it doesn’t dry before buffing) -No dulling or anything weird—my countertop looks just as it did but a little shinier (before polish but don't polish for 24 hours after sealing!) and it looked a little bit richer in color. -While applying and buffing, the section I did felt smoother than the section I had not yet done—my cloth went over that section very smoothly like glass where I felt a pull from the part I didn’t do, so that made me think something sealing was going on! -Price is reasonable—with twice a year application, this bottle will last several years. -I did three applications. I let the first application dry completely for 20 minutes as instructions indicated, then did 2 more applications, since I have not sealed my counters for a very long time. -Scent is a little citrus to it, but it can be strong; however, it dissipates very quickly, no lingering smell. Cons: Really, the only con is the bottle leaked VERY badly - I mean, it was running out of the tube thing. And the black cap cover would not stay on - when it fell off, spray went on my walls. I was disappointed in this. I was able to put the cap back on so the product didn’t spray on my walls, but it continued to leak for all applications. Then the sprayer didn't work at all - I had to open it and pour out sealer. This is why the four star instead of five. -A minor detail: I wish they had indicated how much to spray out—I was in the dark about that part and just guessed. All in all, except for the wonky bottle I received, a good solid product. Once again, do note that you must do smaller sections and immediately buff off—you do not want the product to dry before you buff it! Thank you for reading my review.

I used this on my kitchen countertops and it worked perfectly. The spray is easy to apply, dries quickly, and leaves a nice protective finish without any streaks. It makes cleaning easier and helps keep the surface shiny. Definitely recommend for regular maintenance

Very impressed with how well this sealer worked. Minor scratches are gone. I've used the daily cleaner and polish, but this sealer is a game changer. I repeated the application 3 times per the instructions and am very impressed. Worth the cost. Tip- I wiped in 1 direction first then the other. Then I buffed in both directions also.

Recently we had new granite kitchen countertops installed. The vendor warned us they would have to be sealed, but didn't offer any solutions. Before two weeks were out, we had stained the counter with grease spots in several places. Decided I better solve the sealing problem, pronto. Based on lots of "five star reviews" (see below), I bought this product and the companion daily cleaner. Before using it, I mastered the acetone/baking soda poltice to remove the grease stains, then applied 5 coats of sealer. The grease staining is much reduced, but not yet eliminated. Now every time we get a stain, I do the acetone/baking soda thing and then apply several more coats to the offending area. Seems to be getting better. Barely meets my expectations. See below. Most people start out reviews from one of two positions. About 5% of all reviews are a one star because the product they received was poor quality, or they did not get it all and the consumer is just mad. I don’t believe 5% of every product made goes out useless, but everyone who gets a bad unit will tell you. About 90% of reviewers start at 5 stars, and if the reviewer did not find anything heinous about the product, that’s what they give. To 90% of people, 5 stars means, “it was just ok.” From this day forward, my reviews start from the middle. Three stars: the product met my expectations. If I give it four stars, the product exceeded my expectations for quality, value, or performance. In case of five stars, the got itself out of the box itself and walked across the water. If I give a product two stars, it failed to meet my expectations in some way. Anything deserving the ignominious one star review either went back to the vendor or in the dumpster.

Todo muy bien

This product is easy to apply and left a nice finish. I just feel that areas that get more wear and tear might need more applications throughout the year as being a spray the layers aren't very thick.

It doesn't remove any stains as such. Please do not buy and waste your money

Used for a granite work top that gets plenty of use and abuse. Easy to use with good results
