676 Custom-Add-On Rapid-Cool Transmission Cooler 11.0” x 5.875” x 0.70”, Not for Direct Replacement

This cooler is pretty good quality for the price. Comes with a super long 3/8 hose that fits very snuggly around factory metal line barbs. It comes with a hard line adapter so you can just slip on the hose, and comes with a few worm clamps and zip tie mounts. I personally hate zip tie mounts because there is a huge chance of condenser or radiator damage from the cooler vibrating against it but luckily theres plenty of mounting holes and the inner 4 holes are slightly elongated giving more wiggle room when trying to match up holes to bolt into. The barbs on the cooler are also pretty snug but I still prefer using simple spring clamps to hold the hoses in place versus the worm clamp.. Feels more like it was made to be there rather than an aftermarket addition.

This transmission cooler work awesome, Keep the transmission cooler than stock coolers. Looks rad, it's same so it can fit anywhere. Easy to install with easy-to-read instructions. It's well made to last.

Added this to my 2008 Acura TL. I do add these to most of my used cars as it extends the life of any transmission based on the oil running cleaner and less hot. Noticing a difference in shifting a lot smoother and responsive. It was easy to install you will need extra hoses depending how and where you set up the cooler. Looks cool as well if you look closely you can see it behind the grill. Hoping this extends the life on this transmission as it has with my other cars.

Great quality cooler

Update 120K miles later: transmission hasn't had any problems. I change the fluid every 45K using Valvoline Maxlife. Cooler may have helped get this far but no way to be sure. Updated to 5 stars from 4 because no problems with cooler and it may have helped. I installed it at 100K to give the transmission longer life (hopefully) along with a fully fluid exchange. Had to install using plastic tabs and in front of condenser because there were no other brackets on the van that I could mount it to and I did not want to take the time to fab up a separate bracket. I also installed an in-line filter with this. Time will tell if this was worth it since I don't do any towing yet so heat has not been a problem yet. Installation was pretty straightforward but you want to go on-line and find the technician diagram for the transmission cooler lines so that you get the correct one the first try. I mounted in series with the stock cooler and after the stock cooler before going through the filter and then to the tranny. No leaks and works fine so far.

Works great on my 09 Nissan maxima. Now I know I am just throwing a bandaid on a bigger problem, but my CVT transmission has 309,000 miles on it. It would heat up and go into low power mode after about two hours of driving in the summer months, since I installed this in series with my radiator, I no longer have any transmission over heating problems. Let’s see how long I can ride this original transmission out now. Oil cooler was easy to install, but you will definitely need to buy an extra line because you only get one length of hose (autozone) and it won’t reach in most applications.

I got this after reading about someone using one a an oil cooler for their lawn tractor. My Kohler 25HP always ran hot in the summer, up to 250F oil temp according to my mechanical gauge. The kit was very complete, and had enough hose to run from the cooler adapter to the front of the engine. I 3D printed some mounting brackets and also a 4 inch fan controlled by a thermo switch. Even without using the fan, the first time I mowed my oil temps never got over 190 degrees. This did what I needed it to do and was a good value.
